Short little video just before the beginning of the month to say... you've got this! November will be hard because writing a whole damn book is hard! But you'll come out the other side a better writer, and with a draft that you can pick back up again later to spruce up. Music by VaseBit Artists Label - Love Remains - thmatc.co/?l=81631E45

Oh my goodness, you brave thing!
So happy to hear that you've made so many breakthroughs in your novel. I always say that the first draft is for figuring out what you don't want to do. 😝
@@avery_moore_reads exactly!! on one hand, I'm really glad I have a finished draft of the novel to go off of now as I write the next draft, on the other hand, yikes now I have to write a whole new book LMAO

Poor kitty 😂
*Gasp* You woke the cat! You meany!!! 😝 These tips are all really good BTW. I've been doing lots of skipping this month. Honestly some of the scenes I'm writing I don't think will even appear in the first novel. I'm just like, "this is the bit I want to write right now, so this is the bit I'm writing." 😄 And... So random that I watched this video right after watching the first episode of Arcane Season 2. Arcane buddies!!! 🤜🤛
he knew what he was getting into when he decided to nap directly behind me on the couch LMAOOO and REALLL. half of my scenes aren't gonna make it into the final version, but they're all part of the process. also god so excited about acts 2 and 3 of Arcane, I'm LOVING this season!!!
@@BeeHawthorne Actually decided that I'm going to go back and watch Season 1 again before I finish Season 2. Forgot what a massive Vi fangirl I am. 😝
Absolutely brilliant! Well done
Huge congrats on 15K! You're doing amazing!!! Hope you enjoyed your breakfast. You deserved it! My week has been very good, thank you! Not quite so distracting for me because I'm British so... World doesn't seem quite as hopeless to me. 😝 I'm on track with a bit of buffer too, so if I have a couple of days where I don't reach my daily goals, its okay. Been harder than I thought to juggle writing and vlogging, but I have surprisingly managed to keep up with both, so I'm proud. ☺
"Nobody's going to bother me or anything. Its going to be great!" ... Oh, you sweet, Summer child! 🤣 You are so cute btw! Your encouragement is so motivational. You're like the Bob Ross of writing. You make me believe I can do it... And we can all totally do it. Go team Bee! ☺
I don't think I'm calm enough to be considered a Bob Ross type but I'll honestly just take the compliment!! Also it's so funny because my friends and family know that november is my writing month so really they do try to go out of their way to not bother me. will something come up? oh inevitably, but I've prepped them enough to make them think twice about calling me LMAOO
@@BeeHawthorne I do not have my family so well trained... I mean, they know I'm doing NaNo, but its like... "Hey, are you busy right now?" "I'm writing." "Oh great, you're not busy!" 😫
Hey Bee! I'm a long time NaNo participator. I'm a weirdo that ISN'T writing a novel. Instead I'm embarking on writing a SCRIPT for a MASSIVE RUclips undertaking that will analyze a cast of video game characters for the biggest crossover franchise in MEDIA HISTORY.
Oh wow, that sounds like so much fun! What kind of video games are these characters coming from? Are we talking "Who would win in a fight between Mario and Sonic?" or "If the characters from Dragon Age and Baldur's Gate met up, who am I shipping?" 😝
@@avery_moore_reads It's Smash Bros Characters!!
@@avery_moore_reads I'm talking about what makes up every SINGLE character in the roster from the most minute details from the beginning of time itself.
@@peterrealar2.067 Oh wow! That sounds like it would take a LONG time!
I did novellas and short stories for my first few nanos, and last year I did some video essay scripting, so I'm honestly right there with you 🤝🤝🤝 wishing you the best of luck!!
Wishing you a fab November!
@@EmmaBennetAuthor a fab and productive november to you as well!! ❤️
Have an awesome November, Emma! 😊
You're so entertaining to watch!
@@EmmaBennetAuthor haha thank you! I come from an improv background so being a silly little guy comes very naturally to me!
this is awesome~!
Hiram! Hiram did it! I am putting all my money on Hiram! He loves his wife and has absolutely no motive and that means it was him! ... Unless there's a nun there. If there's a nun there, it was the nun. 😊 I do not have a character map. Those character maps look WAY too complicated to me. I have character sheets for each of my characters and in it, there is a section for relationships, with a brief summary of everybody they know and what their relationship is. No lines. Nice and tidy.
Oh, I do love a map!
Sometimes a good/very bad map just really hits the spot!!
I love drawing maps, but a fantasy writing friend of mine once told me, if you're going to draw a map, wait until after you've written the book encase you end up needing to move some locations around in order to make them closer or further away from other locations, so I'm going to hold back until I have a clear idea of where every location is going to be in relation to all the other locations. ☺
That's very true! I usually don't draw maps ahead of time, but in this case I wanted to like build a desolate location to set this mystery in so I had to sort of set out,,, why anyone would live in the middle of nowhere (I come from farm country where everyone wants to live in the middle of nowhere LMAO)
@@BeeHawthorne Lol! Here I am thinking, who wouldn't want to live in the middle of nowhere? People = 0. Animals = Lots. What's not to like?
Helping me procrastinate work, thank you as always Bee
I like "The November Program" I've seen a few new names tossed around like "Novel November" or "Novelvember". Personally, I say we combine two time honoured November traditions and call it NoNutWriMo. 😝 As for me, I'm a full on plotter, so I'm doing a daily vlog where I'm trying (mostly failing) to follow all of the prompts that I set for myself. I need to spend less time vlogging and more time plotting.
@@avery_moore_reads plotters are the bravest people on the planet because like,,, what if the plan doesn't work,,, horrifying thought to me 🫡 you're so brave
I have no idea how it's October already and haven't really started my planning! Good luck!
@@EmmaBennetAuthor I'm clearly taking a very liberal take on "plan" here so I think you can too!!
Welcome to the community! I hope you love it here.
