Let’s not forget Emily Trigg who was a young teenager who was murdered at the start of the 20th Century. She was last seen walking with a soldier. No one was ever convicted of her murder.

In the Llandaff Cathedral Charters, King Arthur is thanked, and referred to specifically as King Arthur and King Arthrwys ( Welsh spelling, rather than the Latinate Arthur) for his and his family’s land grants to the Welsh Church. In the Bodlian Library at Oxford, the Medieval Bruts of ENGLAND state plainly that Arthur was crowned king in Glamorgan, just as Geoffrey of Monmouth stated a thousand years ago. Wilson and Blackett have shown that the Battle of Mount Badon was fought at, strangely enough, Mynydd Baedan, in Wales, on the map to this day, yet weirdly, the English can’t seem to find it. There are huge graves mounds up there, the field of battle is called, not surprisingly the Battlefield, in Welsh Maescadlawr, and the massive defensive ditches are in places two metres high and run for about a mile in three rows. In a church nearby a sixth century silver cross was dug up which reads Pro Anima Artorius, For the Soul of Arthur, and his headstone was also found, reading Rex Artorius Fili Mauricius, King Arthur, son of Meurig, his father, who was also king of Gwent, like HIS father King Tewdric. All of these kings are thanked in the Llandaff Charters for land gifts. Tewdric was killed fighting to keep the Saxons out of South Wales at Tintern and is buried at Mathern Chirch near Chepstow. All of this was taught to pupils in Welsh schools until early in the 20th century when the English Parliament decided to quash Welsh history and banned it all from school books. All of this is factual. The Arthur this video speaks of is the LITERARY Arthur, which is what later English and French Romance writers turned him into, a myth or legend, with a castle called Camelot and a Round Table plus a grail hunt thrown in for fun. It deeply puzzles the Welsh that modern people seem unable to distinguish between the actual Welsh King and a later tranche of stories about him that were embellished. Every single early reference to Arthur is in the Welsh language, even his very name is Welsh, as is Gwenhwyfar, his wife ( correct spelling for once). and by the way, the man who crowned Arthur was Dubricius, his own uncle, and he is buried at Llandaff Cathedral. Llandaff had a bishop before York and long before London.

There were 4 girls in the car. The bride Suzanne Browne was due to marry the next day. One of the female passengers died at the scene while the bride to be and another friend died in hospital. The survivor I don’t know anything about what happened to her.

I've heard that this building has now been converted into luxury apartments. It would be interesting to hear from the current residents about what it's like to live here and what it's like walking down the corridors and up and down the staircase at night, etc.

Enjoyed this! Very creepy, especially for those of us who have experienced this.

I worked at the hospital during it's final couple of year's of being open. All the resident's moved out into the community to live in small group homes, typically in group's of three. Our group of three were the final group to leave the hospital in march/april 1991. It was sad to see the buildings being demolished while we were still there, as our moving out date had been set back. I have very fond happy memories of working at Olive Mount Hospital. I would love to have a look around inside what was the Admin (main house) Building, that building also contained the kitchens and staff dining room. The building in the above video was originally the Superintendants Villa and later while I worked there was for Psychiatrists/Psychologists. The single story building at the bottom was the Oakes Ward and when the hospital closed became Hesketh House run and staffed by Community Integrated Care Ltd, as were/are all the small group homes that all the other residents moved into. There are ariel view photographs and other photographs on the web mainly from the time the site was used as cottage homes for poor children. There were many more Villas identical to the one that you explored in the above video. There were other larger Wards and other buildings built around the same time and in the same style as the Villas. Later around the 1950's some Villas were demolished to make way for large single story dormetory type buildings. each building had two wards. these buildings accommodated people with disabilities who were mainly wheel chair users. The remaining two floor buildings were accommodation for people who were able to use stairs and used as Activity Units etc. There was also a staff club which had a licensed bar and was open to the public that was called Crosby Hall and there was also another Hall which the residents used for parties and otrher functions called the Festival Lounge. Let me know if you plan on going back again. I would be interested.

I love camping, and one morning I got up took my little dog for a walk through the trees, it was so airy quiet. I started to knot up in the pit of my stomach and felt like something was watching me, my chest started to squeeze and my little dog stopped, I urges him on and he stopped again. I stopped and my stomach felt so tight and my throat so I turned around and hurried back to the tent where there were people around. I was so scared and I have no idea why. But I listened to my gut feeling.
