Просмотров 84 тыс.11 лет назад
A fully comprehensive tutorial on how to share folders from your Macbook over to Windows XP. www.hackingtheperimeter.com - check it out for tips, tricks and more.
NO VIRTUAL BOX SHARED FOLDER :/
thank you! finally someone who mentions that "bridge adapter" should be enabled.
I can't get this to work with Mac OSX and Windows XP. Shame, because at present I cant share any files to my virtual machine. Thanks for the video, definitely given me some ideas. EDIT - goto the Devices menu (at the top of the VirtualBox Manager window) and select "Insert Guest Additions CD Image...". Cycle through the prompts and once you finish installing, let it reboot, it should show up then as the folder. Thanks.
Thank you very much mr. very useful and precise
Thank you very much man .It works I have macbook pro 15 2013 high sierra v.box 5.(some think ) and wind .10 64bit and i can share files now.it is what i was looking for. thank again .
I tried this on windows 10 and nothing appears when I follow these steps
if to try vice verca - Win 10 is a home OS and mac OS is a guest OS, this didn't work for me in my case I set connection type to 'virtual host adapter' in VM network settings
You can also enable and drop as bidirectional so you can just drag and drop files. Same for the clipboard.
this video is shit.. only show the result.. FU
Additionally, click on 'Devices' and 'Insert Guest Additions CD Image' to start having the desired access to the shared folders.
thx
Jeez, yah you're going way to fast and not showing exactly what you're doing. "Just do an ifconfig"...ok.. how do I pull up that screen?
THANK YOU!
if you can't ping your xp machine ip address check the firewall and turn it off..
Worked great! Thx!
THANK YOU! NOW I CAN TRY TO EMULATE DRAGON'S LAIR!
YOU HAVE SAVED MY LIFE! I'M SUBSCRIBING!
Dude you go wayyyy too fast.
yup... just do an ifcomfig... eh what now?
Thanks for sharing. Your tutorial directed me into the right direction
Thank you
You can ping from windows to Mac. If you cannot ping from Mac (host) to Windows (guest) just disable Firewall from Windows Machine.
Was having trouble doing this on Windows 8. Pushing the "Install Guest Additions" menu option seemed to do nothing. It seems now that it was silently adding a disk to the optical drive which contained an installer for guest additions. After I installed that, I had no problems.
The two IP addresses are the same here... and I don't have "my network places" on the Windows machine
+Fabrice D* Yeah I dont see it either, did you find a solution to it?
Thankies!
thanks man. you sound like the guy from art attack
Thank you. That made the last 40 minutes of searching pretty worth it.
THis does not work on windows 7 no network was found
Thanks!
great video. you saved me! thanks!
starting at 3.53, where would this be on Windows 7?
thank you!!! it's awesome.... :-)
I followed the steps in sharing the folder in the VB settings while the XP guest host is shutdown. After booting it up and going to mynetworkplaces, the VB shared folder is not in there. Please help.

Help, it goes on and on and on with the "request timeout for icmp_seq..." 560 and still on...
