Cool! What the river?
That is amazing
Do you wear a leash on whitewater?
Always. Hala Gear Quick release leash attached to a rescue pfd that also has a release.
@@Halajack thanks for that
It looks amazing 👍
Nice!!!
What size boards are you using ?
Hala Atcha 96- halagear.com/collections/boards?ref=halajack
Yesss!!
Looks like fun🎉
That's some nice paddlin', Jack.
Great video Jack!
Thanks guys. Inspirational stuff! You look like you're having so much fun.
Way to get after it.
Also really love this song. Great choice.
Where did you put in and take out for this section?
Put in: 225 Patience Park Rd, Burnsville, NC 28714 Take Out: 130 Sthy 80 N, Burnsville, NC 28714
@@Halajack Thank you!!
Awesome!
doubles! haha do you think you could do a doubles cross over on those river waves?
Just excellent!
Where did you put in? Ferebee?
Charles D. Gossett Yes, race started at Surfers rapid.
Did you run Second ledge or the Bull?
Charles D. Gossett nope. Too sketch
Hi Jack. How do you like the river paddle. I bought one and just live it.
MATT the MAN I love it for whitewater paddleboarding.
how common is it to fall and hit rocks on ww sup? hurt wrists, head injuries, etc?
There is a reason you wear helmet/pads. You're going to find what creates rapids at some point
Very cool! Sweet water features in the USNWWC. Loving WW SUP. Nothing quite like it.
What type of boards are you using?
Katrina Gardner Hala Gear inflatables that are built for whitewater. The board model is the Hala Atcha 9-6. Check them out at Halagear.com
Jack Nelson thanks man, I've been trying to figure out what board to get. I'll check it out
another one to look at is the starboard river
@@jeager0112 I owned a Starboard Stream, it's their WW board. Personal preference is the Atcha 9'6 paddled in the video.
As a former slalom racer I would know where to go but staying on the board is taking some work = more paddling.
Congrats!
Wish I was paddling right now 2...lol thanks for the footage Jack!
Jack, do you ever do any workshops/instruction? Wanting to improve my game and don't want to reinvent the wheel.
Your board a Playa? Any adjustments on paddling it vs your WW boards?
Thanks for the comments. Yes the board is a 2016 Hala Gear Playa. It’s not as stable as a whitewater board so a strong brace is needed for the rapids.
Geez, good hustle with some might T fine water skills. Want to be that good when I grow up. Hope to see you on the water.
Why do you take your hand off the T-grip for some strokes?
Some mighty fine paddling. Last guy , picture perfect run of Nantahala Falls. The closest I’ve gotten so far is the top of the Nantahala falls , then it’s a garage sale. Steve
