This is the correct way to reclaim shot. This shot is ready for some graphite, and then it’s off to the reloader. The outfit that does our reclamation leaves our shot very dirty and as many of us know it’s a tremendous amount of work to properly clean shot. I’d be willing to bet they get a better price than our outfit.

That’s the way shot should be reclaimed dam near perfect. Most outfits leave way too much dirt in the shot.

Where do you buy reclaimed shop? I know that Winchester (Olin Corp) does this at their shotgun range. But, I have no idea where to buy reclaimed shot.

If that shot was left alone, it would'nt hurt anything. stirring and processing all that oxidized shot puts more lead oxide in the water than would have been from just leaving it alone to be covered up with silt and debris. Think about all those lead balls and bullets from the civil war that folks find with metal detectors. the bullets get a white layer of corrosion and that's it, it stays intact and doesn't melt off or corrode any further.

It is a trap range. Most places do it every couple years.

Sell it as reclaimed shot for reloading shotgun shells. Its not as good as new shot but it works fine up to about the 22 yard line.

dumpster, excavator, and large vacuum system. It is how I clarify ore I mine from berms. It suctions the dirt, clay s , and rocks out of the ore and you are left with the lead. Get your cfm's right on your vac and it works like a champ.
