Jarrett's renditions of "O Danny Boy" and "Over the Rainbow" are stunning and spellbinding, but here I think the harmony does little to support the melody, which gets lost in all the chord extensions and alterations. At its best, harmony should create direction and tension and movement; it should support the melody. You could replace most of the chords here with just about any other 11th or 13th or 15th chord (with suspensions and alterations and add-anythings), which Keith presumably does in other renderings. This is a simple song of longing, and, IMHO, it would be better served with a much simpler and clearer harmony.
