the eagle (Kris Kristofferson influenced)
Beautiful lyrics, beautiful beat. Here first 🎉
Man, that's good shit!
I appreciate it my friend. I got three more waiting. I can't post them all at once because it will hurt their views. But I went on a writing spree in the past few days. I'll have three more new ones up by Tuesday.
Is that an song made by AI?
The lyrics are human. The music is artificial intelligence. This particular song was done in an acoustic version so I can turn it into a live acoustic demo.
I love it
From the first note, I loved it!!! Is this song your original?
Yes all my songs are original. Been listening to a lot of Kris Kristofferson lately you might hear him a little bit in my last two songs.
I'm looking at this and it might be misleading. The eagle is a nickname assigned to Kris Kristofferson. The song is not by Kris Kristofferson.
Now what are the chances of getting a duet on a song like this, and then each of them singing the right versus?
You can call me Lou and I love lyrics. I just need some boots and a chevrolet.
This is breathtakingly beautiful. Awwh
I like it!!!

Having spent almost 50-years in the mortar trades, it is painful for me to watch you working mortar with your bare hands. That is an invitation for cement poisoning, and a dangerous practice to be displaying in a YT video. You would be thrown off a real job-site for not wearing gloves to do this.
So, during the Nixon administration you were working with mortar and yall never worked with out gloves? Lol "The truth has a certain ring to it" Hemingway To suggest that I would be thrown off a job for not wearing gloves is laughably ignorant and is proof positive you don't know what you are talking about. I've been laying block for over 35 years. Cement damage from mortar only occurs on your hands when you have a cut or a sore on your hands. And that is the only time you would see me with gloves or a duct tape bandage. Out of the hundreds of jobs I've been on only two had a glove requirement. And It was for everyone on the jobe site including surveyors. And both were on military bases after 2020. Also you're not in your mid-sixties. No 65 year old "masonry trade" worker would feel the need to correct someone on RUclips, (for gods sake) over something so trivial. And I've never heard anyone call this industry "mortar trades"... Once again lol@U
So you deleted the response where you said I would end up in the hospital? Probably because I asked you to post one case where someone was significantly injured from not wearing gloves while working in "mortar trades" Lol@u That is what I thought.
Correction, "... Injured from cement poisoning for not wearing..."
Keep using your hands to carry and tamp the mud and soon you will be in the hospital with cement poisoning.
Post one documented case of cement poisoning on the hands that left serious or permanent injury. You don't know what you're talking about I've been a mason for over 35 years.
Where do I get that mold?
where did u buy the mold?
You can't buy US standard individual block molds. They don't exist. They only exists in metric sizes because metric territories are the only ones with low enough wages to justify the use of the product. What I've learned is, it's just not worth the trouble when you can buy certified tested block from home Depot for $1.35. I used the mold to build the foundation of my garage and even I went to Home Depot and bought enough block to finish.
Either its too tough making these blocks with the shown mould or the person is not used to do the work
How about welding Handel's on the sides to lift and drop to help the cement mixture to fill the mold quickly
Great job on making the core assembly. That's the hardest part to get straight. I use a batch design of 2/3rds sand to 1/3 stone or gravel. You should have a minimum of 10% Portland type 1 cement in your batch. The strength comes from the stone in the unit and how tight you compact it if using a low moisture mix. In modern times, ASTM requires 2000 psi minimum compressive strength which all units should meet that you buy from a producer or box store. I had my antique block that I make by hand tested and they came back at an average of 4,800 psi, so it is doable making them by hand. It's a fun hobby but also a labor of love!
The core assembly was assembled and welded inside a block from home Depot then simply pulled out. Easy pesy
nice bike, I sold mine to my sister in mid 2021 so she could give it to her husband for their anniversary ... I miss it already lol
I don't know if you know anything about enduros but I had a KLR650. Love that bike just wasn't very powerful a couple more bikes later I found this bike. Kawasaki 650 versus is very similar to the KLR 650 with a ninja 650 motor on it. It will handle any freeway speeds and it still doesn't mind getting airborne off-road. I needed a dinghy for my sailboat so I bought the bris 14 ft boat in a bag. I saw this motor I got the idea to put the boat and the motor on the back of my motorcycle since the adventure bikes are known to carry a lot of weight. Myself my boat and my motor come in about 40 lb under its Max capacity. I'll send you a pic from my Facebook page.

I think your mix is too rich. Try 2:1 Aggregate = 2 Portland =1 But, your Aggregate should be 1:1 brick mortar sand and finely crushed stone cement sand. Always watch your water content to make it clump into a ball, if you grab a handful. IE, playdough. I would buy a cement block from Home Depot and study it. Perhaps contact the manufacturer to ask what their Materials Ratio is in constructing their concrete blocks. You may also want to contact your local building codes people to see if there are rules governing self-made building materials before you can use them on a building. There are and could be serious considerations regarding the stability of home baked bricks, rammed earth walls and certainly cement floors and home made cement blocks. ONCE you get your formula (cement block mix ratios ) down pat, this will all become easy. Best of luck
I appreciate the help. I will check it out. But It was more of a welding project than it was a masonry project. I did make several dozen block. I'm using them as the foundation to my garage. They are filled with solid concrete so I don't think I have any worries. But they're holding so far.
Hey, can u send link for metric, gonna send one to Africa thanks
Hey this on is from south Africa. www.doubell.com/diy
What kind of mix do you use for your molds? I just got into the hobby and started out with the concrete mix they sell that home depot. I feel like it has to many pea pebbles inside of the concrete mix for my molds. Thank you for your time.
The mix is about three parts sand to one part Portland cement. Then you mix in enough water to make it about the same consistency as the damp sand on a beach that you would make a sandcastle out of. The mold uses a zero slump mix where one mold can be used repetitively. Unlike the molds that you would let it sit overnight. Overnight molds you can use a wetter mix even concrete if you like. There is not just different mixes there is different slumps. Paver molds and my molds use a zero slump. If you were putting in a driveway or a sidewalk you would probably use an 5 or a 6 inch slump. If you were filling steel-reinforced concrete blocks you would use a 7 or 8 inch slump.
Oh yeah you don't need the Pea Rock if you're just filling molds.
Please e mail me at rintamorelik49.com@gmail.com
How do I get a block mold for any sizes
It depends on what you're using them for. If you're filling them with concrete there is a limit to how small they can be. If you're not filling them with concrete you can make them any size you want.
One hour for one block really?..
One hour for one block? you think it took 1 hour to make one block? Really?

I know this is old, but using something to agitate the mold (an old back massager, a palm sander, basically anything that vibrates) will help the material settle into place
That's a good point and probably would work, but if I ever need blocks again I'll make it all one piece flip it over fill it with a shovel and pack the mud into place with a shovel and then scrape it off flip the mold back over and pull it off the formed block and repeat the process. Also important to remember that every block I made I used and is still in great shape and filled with concrete holding up my garage.
@@LouLovesLyrics agitation just helps any air pockets get filled in. I have no doubt your blocks are in great shape! I have physical limitations that mean I have to look for less physically intense ways of approaching projects

228 views? How Charming. You should thank your Elementary School teachers. I literally don't know what you're trying to say.
And by the way I advise people that Home Depot sells the block that my mold was created from for $1.35. I also have written that I myself instead of taking the time to mold blocks to finish a project, I personally drive to Home Depot and bought some of those block to save time. I've never sold any block and every block I've used is full of steel-reinforced concrete and was used on the property that I own.
tin fingers I doubt this particular block whether good quality enough ?
@@HenryBlockMachineGroup the quality doesn't matter if it's full of steel-reinforced concrete. It doesn't matter if it's made of cane sugar and dissolves away the first rain. Which I assure you hasn't happened. All the block that I made have been used. And are still holding steel-reinforced concrete. So let's just say you sound like you're jealous and you don't know what you're talkin about. The machine is not for sale. The blocks are not for sale. It was my first welding project. After I taught myself to weld. I don't give a s*** about the block mold. It is rusting in my shed.
@@LouLovesLyrics i know that the steel reinforcement can support more solid to the building wall, but , inside the block material, only cement, sand is not enough to guarantee its density, that is better to feed crushed stones
Very nice my question is is the mold is the actual size of the block if im not mistaken the cement block shrinks. Is to8x8x16
No the block does not shrink. With a 3/8 motor joint that Bond's it to the next block the block is 16 inches long 8 inches high. But out of the mold without the motor joint the block is 15 and 5/8 inches long 7 5/8 inches high.
Thanks.
Use that hammer more on the sides and use a spray releasing agent like silicon ore animal fat and you can increase the quality. Good idea with 2 or three people you could turn out 100 blocks a or so a day good for remote and under development country's. Btw use a wood hammer. 😁👍
Ronald Brown good input insightful genuinely trying to be helpful. I got all the sand I want for free so I'm trying to keep this cost down. I figured it's about 8 or 9 cents a block. my next project it's going to be Doric column molds. trying to work on some ideas about how to taper a welded cylindrical column, any suggestions? I was thinking about building the column completely cylindrical and then making Rip's down the side and re welding them to get the proper taper.

Marius Constantin I like your mold. where did you get it from? it looks like an older style of block with the three cells. is it standard or metric?
Nice job with the mould but the cement mix its too wet.ruclips.net/video/Bu3A0H27VI0/видео.html
Any good online retailers for these type of molds? I don’t care if they are metric or US
Matt McCallum yes their out there you have to Google it. I will try later. you can use metric block on standard plans. you just have to be creative with your rebar spacing. sometimes you can just add rebar. sometimes it's easier for a mason just to cut blocks to fit around the rebar issue. but I still can't see any reason why it would be easier then just going to Home Depot and buying the block for $1.35. Maybe if you're in a remote area like Alaska or high in the Rockies or you have access to large amounts of Portland and sand at a low cost. whatever it is I'll try to get back to you with more answers but yes metric masonry block molds are out there and are what gave me the inspiration.
www.doubell.com/diy
At $1,,50 per block at Lowe's is this process REALLY worth it? what are you saving? I can't see the value unless there are no stores nearby , but STILL you have to lug in MANY bags of concrete if you're laying a number of block.. Good luck.
Can you email me plans how to make one in USA standard?
sorry my friend. I took a standard US block and I welded 14 inch gauge steel around the outside then I welded all around inside of both cells while the block was upside down and Link the cells together so I can pull them out of the mold first because the block is thicker on top so the only way the motor slip off of it is upside down. the outside of the block is completely Square so when you're doing the outside it doesn't matter. but when you're doing the individual cells you must Assemble the parts upside down. it literally took me at least 25 hours of Labor cutting each piece to fit exactly and then welding it all together. anyone who would spend the time to make one of these molds can have some fun saving themselves a little money. But I promise you by the time you make the mold get the sand the Portland and the aggregate and make the blocks you will probably understand it would have been easier just to buy them from Home Depot for a $1.35 a piece. I have the mold and all the free sand I want, and I would still probably buy the block if I was doing a house. I'm using them for a few small projects and I made a cool video and I came up with a welding project to teach myself how to weld, but the reason that these single U.S. standard block molds are so unusual is because labor cost make them obsolete.
sorry brother all I can tell you is what I did. I got a regular block and I welded 14 gauge pieces all the way around the outside. then with the block upside down I welded pieces all around both of the cells. the block is tapered thicker on the top and thinner on the bottom so your mold must be built to manufacture the block upside down. it is the only way at the center mold will slip off the block. I am an amateur welder I took me about 25 hours labor at least. but it was fun I made a cool video and I came up with a welding project to give me some experience welding. I have all the free sand I could use the mold and if I was building a house I'd still buy the block from Home Depot at $1.35 a piece. by the time you built them old got the same the Portland and the Aggregate and made the block you probably agree it would just be easier to buy them. but if you want to weld it anyway I'll answer any of your questions it's really straightforward. just copy the masonry block with steel.
How much for one mold? If you can make one or two I'm willing to pay
isfel a lot of people have offered to buy them and if you're anywhere near Gainesville Florida I would gladly show you this one. but it's very impractical considering you can buy the same block from Home Depot for about a $1.35 a piece. now if you're really seriously interested you can buy a metric one. that's where I got the idea from they're a little over three hundred bucks, and you can make them fit standard plans.
Are you in a 3rd World Country? You be lucky if you produce 3 or 4 Blocks an Hour!!!

Very labourous back breaking process.
Yes making the mold was very laborious. It took almost a week. It was my second project teaching myself how to weld. Got another project coming this weekend.

your work very slow
It is for demonstration purposes only. If I was trying to be fast I wouldn't be working on the ground. I have a bunch more mud made up and I'd be working off a bench. @@LouLovesLyrics don't let the arse holes on here get to you. We're sitting on our behinds watching a video of you working that you put up to help us. Everybody thinks they're an expert when they don't have to do the work
My friend, you have to deform the block upside down
Marcos Gobira yes the thick side with the handle it's down and the thin side is up. my mold would not slide off otherwise.
He has never produced a hollow block. Completely inadequate and partly no concrete compaction. So you can produce 3 stones per hour.
compacted well enough to fill with concrete which is what most block is used for. and there's two Block in 10 minutes so it looks like math isn't your best subject.
What's the perfect mix ratio for this?
it's about eight parts and one and a half parts cement and a half part pea Rock. ad just enough water to make it damp. if it's runny at all it will not work. if you wanted to make a simple box you can make your own bricks easy custom sizes. I wouldn't suggest building a block mold like this. it took me probably about 30 hours to build it. I live almost next door to one of North Florida's largest sand mines the Keuka sand plant. so I sit on a acre and a half of pure blonde sand.
to any one wanting to make masonry blocks their are metric molds available. to those wanting us standard 16 inch molds I would remind you home depot sells pressure tested 16 inch block for $1.35. The only reason I built mine is because I own property in North central Florida on one of the largest pure sand reserves in the South.
Did they turn out good? Where would metric ones be found? I am wanting to help a guy in Senegal Africa to build a little shop but he has nothing to do so it would make sense if he could actually make his own cinder blocks to build it.
@@he7is7at7hand that's funny because there's plenty of metric ones out there. The reason why I don't mind is because I wanted to see if I could build a standard one. But there's really not much of a market in the US because of the availability of cheap standard blocks at home Depot. LOL but it was more of a welding project anyway. I did make several dozen block there under my garage in the foundation and they're filled with concrete and rebar.
