Totally understand what you are saying and I agree that having a device that works across multiple devices and platforms is ideal, nothing that I've seen or used compares to the reliability and function of the Samsung or Apple trackers. Google needs to do better with their systems

Wait, what? Are you using a smart tag with a phone that is not Samsung? On the Samsung website they clearly say that the smart tags only work with Samsung phones from the Galaxy line... So?

Hello and thank you for your comment. The keypad itself is a hub. You can pair it with your MyQ opener and control the garage door.

@@GadgetguyzGadgets my opener isn't wifi capable. That's why I was asking if I installed the smart hub if the camera would work with that. And thank you for the quick response.

@@Blblazer1210 You're very welcome. Well I assume that if you have a MyQ garage door opener already that can pair with the hub then you should be able to, but without knowing your exact device and setup it's hard to give you a definitive yes. Hopefully it works out, thanks again!

Hi there and thanks for the question. The myQ lock comes with a hub in the box, you can then pair your garage door to the new hub and stop using your old garage door hub. That's what I did.

The Samsung SmartTag 2 only work's with Samsung smartphones. I mention that around the 3 minute mark in the video.

Hi and thanks for the comment. I'm sure there are some differences but by what I have read the differences are with how the device is designed. There's a button that apparently has some programming you can do to make it control some phone actions. But for me, I don't care about controlling phone actions, I want it to track my luggage. Without Google using the the UWB the device has it's basically just the same as the Pebblebee. I want to specifically compare how much better, if any the UWB Moto tag was compared to the Pebblebee. Now I have heard Chipolo does a better job but they already have their own Network and they work on Google's FMD network so that might be a comparison to test. Thanks again!

@@GadgetguyzGadgets UWB will not improve tracking capability of moto tag (at least not way you think it will). UWB will allow for better pin point to where tag actually is once you are close to it. However it will not help regarding actual tag tracking by the google network. Main issue with google network is that not that menu people have find my device enabled (not yet) and also due to restriction where by default multiple phones need to connect to tag to report position of it.

@@igorstef we right, I understand that and your point about Google is kinda my point. I feel like they're really losing the race regarding these trackers and if you are going to partner with a company to supports UWB it should be available when the product launches. Google will never catch Samsung and Apple in my opinion but hopefully they so better.

i also have trip in end november test in portugal i have only 2 pebblebe and now they stop shiping to israel do you have the chipolo gfn? how is the range of bluetooth of chipolo compared to pebblebe?

@@YosefElgart hello and thanks for your comment. Unfortunately I do not have a Chipolo tracker so I can't give any comment on how well it works. The benefit of the Chipolo is that it has a bigger network than Pebblebee, more people use so it should offer better tracking.

Wow that is very strange behavior, I didn't think it even had a sleep mode. Mine has never gone to sleep. I know when I had set my motion detection settings down low it wouldn't always detect things I wanted it to but that was because of me putting the settings low. Once I set the motion detection settings to be a little more sensitive it detects all kinds of stuff. Also, it's always available in the app and I've never had an issue live streaming. I think they should send you a new one and you can send that one back because that doesn't sound right to me. Sorry you're having this weird issue with it.

@@GadgetguyzGadgets I agree it is not functioning normally. It is not overly troublesome that I may have a defective device (and they are sending me a new one) it was far more disturbing that the support technician actually forcefully argued that this was normal behavior and I should not expect it to be accessible or able to detect motion at all times; he said the device was supposed to go asleep and the owner must physically touch the keypad to wake it up before you can live stream from the app or the camera will detect motion. Just a crazy thing to argue.

Wow that is crazy! That support person obviously didn't know what they were talking about because that's incorrect. Glad they're sending you a new one, hopefully it performs as intended.

Hi there and thank you for your comment. Unfortunately no the face detection is so you know who's coming and going It does not provide any automated garage door opening. I don't know if they plan on adding that or not in the future.

Volviendo a las luces, el wallmount fit realmente casi no deja espacio entre la pared y la tv, por eso queria ver como quedaban las luces instaladas, y quería saber como funciona la aplicacion de la tv. However, you can share access which will then give them access to see the SmartTags. To share a Galaxy SmartTag2 with someone else, you can use the SmartThings app to invite them to SmartThings Find. Thanks for your question! Yes you still need the hub but you do not need the Hue Sync Box, the TV/App takes the place of that. If you have a compatible TV, you just buy the app, a hub and whatever Hue light strip/lights you want to use with it. I have had no issues at all and I actually think it's better that the hub. Why google not update the settings or the app. Curious how will uwb will work? For me also the Bluetooth connection was bad im near the tracker and it's taking betweet 10-120 sec to coonet via Bluetooth

Yeah I was very disappointed in the reliability of the tracker and I really hope Google figures it out because they could have a fantastic product if it was reliable. I'm hoping that Motorola device is available soon enough to pick it up before I leave for Europe. I keep checking and still says unavailable. Regardless of when it's available I will be getting one to test so don't forget to subscribe and hit that little Bell to get notified when I put out that video. It would be nice if it worked better!

Hi and thanks for your question! I don't believe we had any below zero days but we did have some single digit days and long periods in the 20's and 30's and the only issue I had at the closest was a very slight drop in battery life. Other than that it performed flawlessly.

Thanks for your comment! That's disappointing to hear about your poor battery results and it definitely doesn't sound like you have any wifi issues. I know battery drain has been all over the place for users. Fortunately I'm still getting 10-12 weeks. I also agree 100% on the screw and the need for a better charging option. I have a Philips TV with inbuild Android TV. I have all the apps I want but navigation though the interface is slow and that annoys me. It's not an old TV tho, it's OLED 4K etc. Do you think it is worth to buy a seperate android/google TV box like the new upcoming Google TV box you are talking about?

My wall is for my support of my states biggest college football team, University Of Tenessee Knoxville. They have one of the largest stadiums in the US and their end zones are painted Orane/White checkerboard - utsports.com/facilities/neyland-stadium/54 but I do like your flag! Regarding your question, yes I would 100% recommend using an external Android TV device like the new Google 4K Streamer. I have a brand new 2024 Samsung OLED and I personally do not use it's built in apps/interface. Hi there and thank you for your question. On the bottom of the exterior part of the lock there are two metal contacts and all you need to do is put a 9 volt battery on the contacts and it will provide the power needed to unlock the door. I keep a couple 9 volt batteries in the garage to make sure there's one handy. I did test it and it worked perfectly. Thanks again for your question, I really appreciate it!

Morning and thanks for the comment and suggestion. I don't have any friends, hahaha, JK.... Yeah I had thought about it but failed to plan a head a little bit. I do however plan on testing this when we are traveling next week. We're heading out on vacation and I'll have this and a Galaxy SmartTag 2 in my luggage to see which one is more accurately tracked. That's the real scenario I am curious to see how it works. But I do agree, should have planned on testing and adding it to the video. I will be publishing a follow up after my trip to show the results so make sure you check back in a couple weeks. I did realize that the audio seemed a little low but didn't notice until after I had published. I realized that somehow I had accidentally turned the gain down on my SteelSeries XLR base, must have bumped the dial and didn't realize it, thanks for letting me know and thanks for the encouraging words, I really do appreciate it!

Hi and thank you for your question. Yes the alert includes a clip of what was detected. You can also go back into the app and review the history, depending on the subscription you choose.

Hi there and thank you for your comment. Yeah that was really annoying in the beginning. I can say that it has definitely gotten easier after pulling the battery a few times to charge but initially it was way to difficult.

Yeah I 100% agree with you. If you buy a second battery however it's a couple minute swap and you're done until next swap. My biggest issue with the whole removing it from the wall is if you lose that little screw you'll have to go to the hardware store and try to find one that works. Thanks for your comment!

I really should have left out a lot of the pairing/migration aspect and went into my opinion and why I think it's a good upgrade, which I do, it has been a great upgrade so far.
