Thanks! In pretty much all of the streams and videos I have online, I'm using Push 3 connected to a computer running Ableton Live. I have the standalone-capable Push 3, and the Ableton project I'm using is compatible with it, so in theory, I could disconnect the Push from the computer and move some wires around and then play the exact same thing thing in the same way. In practice though, when I've tested this before, my setup runs up against the limits of the Push 3 CPU, so when I'm jamming in my home studio and the computer is right there anyway, I run Ableton on the computer to take advantage of the extra processing power. Also, technically, the lights are being controlled by a VST running inside of Ableton Live, so I would need to rework my light controls if I were to use standalone mode, but that's not vital to be able to play, and that's the only VST I'm using. (... Going totally into the weeds here, but actually, I have a suspicion that the CPU issues I saw when trying this on Standalone mode could potentially be caused by a Max for Live device that isn't optimized for the current version of Live. The reason I think this is that the version of Live released last spring made a change to the Push display driver that slowed it down for me to the point where I had to roll back to a previous version. Maybe if I rip whatever clashes with the push display out of my project, it will run smoothly, but I haven't had time to try.)

The Jamuary thing really is a nice chance to actually focus, do a couple extra takes, and try to get a cleaner performance than I'd manage live. Though the pace of one a day is usually enough of a time constraint to prevent me from getting a *perfect* recording on any of these. 😅 Still, I do enjoy the chaos that Twitch chat injects into the sets. Keeps things from ever getting too same-y.

Thanks! The JP-8000 was the first hardware synthesizer I owned, and I think it's still my favorite one.

Thanks! I always enjoy playing this more chilled out style whenever I do it. I just tend to forget that it's an option, and only ever turn the tempo knob up and up. 😅
