Steel Warriors melts down knives taken off the streets and recycles the steel into outdoor community gyms.
We use street workout to transform the lives of young people affected by crime, violence and social exclusion, giving them the skills and confidence to achieve seemingly impossible goals.
Our vision is to build a UK-wide network of gyms, a street workout movement, that not only empowers young people to succeed in life, but also fosters stronger, safer and better-connected communities.

Steel Warriors - The Origins
Steel Warriors was established in 2017. Our founders, Ben Wintour and Pia Fontes were driven by a desire to challenge conventional approaches to knife crime. They wanted to use the tonne of knife steel collected each month by the police to help young people develop more confidence to walk the streets unarmed, provide a healthy and affordable way to build physical strength, and support individuals in achieving their goals and earning a living. With the launch of the first gym in Tower Hamlets, the Steel Warriors journey began. Today, we take pride in operating a growing number of gyms and showing young people that lives should be built on steel, not destroyed by it.

Excellent work people I am on the fence on this one a massive rise in knife crime but I also use blades a few times a week for wood preparation dressing game. There also needs to be education that knives can take lives but also save the in the wilds and a surgeon can not operate without their scalpel.
