A wonderful Virgil van Dijk goal in his younger days playing in the Eredivisie for Groningen. The star of the show this afternoon was Dusan Tadic. Feyenoord managed by a dispairing Ronald Koeman who watched on as his side were thrashed 6-0 at the Stadion Euroborg. Here are two of the goals. Commentator: Barry Swain

Amazing clip of action from Sunday 17th Augusy 2014 in the Argentine Primera Division. Belgrano v Boca Juniors. Jorge Valezquez denied a penalty, red carded and then substituted. An amazing refereeing howler allows the home side to continue with eleven men!

Daniel Mann is the best commentator ever
Davies was by far the better commentator.
Both were excellent and both had their great moments. I thought Motson's peak was during the 1982 world cup especially the Brazil vs Italy classic. My choice is Barry Davies, he was an expert at knowing when to let the camera do the talking, his research on the players and surrounding history was impeccable, and he also would bring in salient facts about the city/country he was in if it was the Euros or World cup. I'll never forget during WC1990 the 3rd place play off Eng vs Italy held in Bari, he started eulogising about the architecture of the city. "A city of curves rather than straight lines and angles". Legendary stuff. I grew up with them in the 1970s/1980s so they form part of my history. I would just like to thank them both for providing me with many memorable moments and happy retirement Mr Motson.
Agree. There was something Davies had over Motson perhaps his enthusiasm. Though Motson had his facts as well and his research on the players was also impeccable.
