reason has made a vague statement that they are finally going to start implementing some changes and improvements in their sequencer.. a bit overdue seeing as users have been making requests for sequencer improvements for years now lol. lets hope they get it right and redeem themselves a bit
I can totally see inserting a "stop" trigger in the sequencer, but if the sequencer is stopped - as in not moving - a "start" trigger would never be reached. The only way around this (other than a remote trigger) would be a with a timer built into the stop trigger. Or somehow triggering "start" when it detects audio input, perhaps on a dedicated "start" channel or device.
You can automate the stop, I did a video about it on my channel many years ago, just need a midi loopback and nothing more. I show how to do it in this video: ruclips.net/video/xVWmL6rlY0E/видео.html
Hey man ! I've used a similar set up for live shows (with Reason as my sequencer). And there are many hacks to help you get around the auto stop problem. The most reliable I've found is using MidiKey2Key to control the space bar via MIDI and add a MIDI track in Reason with a virtual MIDI port as the output (connected to MidiKey2Key). That way it can stop automatically when and where you want.
None. 64 buffer. PreSonus Quantum. But I only really use compression/eq/verb, and maybe a distortion/telephone effect. But we also trigger piano midi and drum midi, side pads, etc. So I imagine you could load it up quite a bit. Our session file has like 5 gb of data in it (mainly from blocks full of songs to use to play along to). I would not use something like Omnisphere, or multilayered heavy samplers/synths, example. If you stick to the things you're likely to find in a FOH, with maybe a little extra VSTs, you should be fine.
great vid , how did u change to dark mode???

Tag reason studio with this video even though they stopped listening to their consumer base ages ago

Brilliant!
Here's something I never thought about doing with Reason. Great stuff.
Reason is Great.

You ROCK!! I gotta figure this out.
@@bradleyamick Download MidiKey2Key and Loopbe Internal MIDI and I can help you out
Awsome ! I agree that it would be nice to have markers to switch from each bar on beat
Very interesting way of using Reason, how do you deal with latency when you add effects on your vocals or instruments? thanks

Great idea. You just made my sax practice easy. Thank you
Rock on
