We did not Color Grade this. they did there own style. So I don't know. :)
Subtle shades to more vibrant hues - yes, the Roush Media team comprises of professionals, for sure.

What reference monitor do you use??
my monitor is a Sony bvm x300, or in a theater I use a barco dp4k projector. at the end of the day as long as you monitor is set up accurately and displays the entirety of what you're grading you will be good.

+Anderson Edghill Not if you're talking about something this tough. Also, that's how they color grade every one of their movies. They don't have any unique style trying to be put in this film! If you're going to tell me to not judge this movie on its looks and see the inside, then I'm sorry, I have to tell you that the look of any movie is going to be what you judge. It give the movie a visual style especially when telling the story, which by the way, was torturous for me to sit through, being a Christian.

Be careful about drinking the Kool-aid. do you own research. This is not true.
The software works on a shot at a time. When you define a shape or color you can change it over the course of the full shot. Some times you must track the object.
Good luck with that.
Total noob question here - so excuse me in advance..when you're grading a frame like this and you specify a certain part of it like you did with the mountain/hill in the background (taking it 'down' in color) - do you have to do this separately for every frame?? or once you set a color tone for part of a frame (like the background hill)- does the software just match it from there?

There is one camera for broadcast television industry in Japan that record in 8k and also RED is lunching 9,5k res. camera soon. They could lunch it few years ago but there is no computer that will manage to play 8k res video in Real Time.
