Love your redesign 😍
Thank you 🙏
Pastepal vs paste vs Raycast?… Cleanshot vs shottr?
It would be great if, as you mentioned, you showed the whole process, including meeting the Client, so from beginning to end
I have been struggling a lot with this! Thank you so much. This is the perfect solution! 😀
Thank you Dennis. Your info are very informative and simple to understand. <3
🙏 Thank you! Happy to hear that!
This is amazing man!!!
Thank you! 🙏
Awesome! Thanks for the tutorial! Time to make lotsa patterns on Figma! :D
Haha 😂 Happy to hear it helped and good luck with all those patterns!
The future is scary
It will be challenging to navigate for sure, but if we’re willing to learn an adapt we should be fine, we just need to stay on top of things😅
@@DennisLeoca yes AI is not for replacing people but people will get replaced if they don't use it and learn it
Thanks so much for this Dennis, you ate and left no crumbs
Thank you 🤣. Appreciate it 🙏
Muy bueno
@@nuriawettstein Gracias 🙏😅
This video was super informative!
Thank you 🙏. Happy to hear you enjoyed it!
This video just saved me a ton of time!
😅 Happy to hear that!
How can I get design feedback smooooothly ? I want my client to add comments on my design and when they finish a notification is send to me
Well you can do that in Figma. Check your notification settings, you should receive an email every time someone adds a comment to your designs. I usually give my clients a timeframe to add comments before we move to the next stage. This way it's a lot easier to manage and monitor.
Tutorial helpful asf, thank you autor
🙏
Very cool. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! 🙏
Brilliant... Is there anyway of saving presets you made on your mobile LR and transfer over to pc???
Not sure, I never done that 😔
@@DennisLeoca aww ok not to worry. Appreciate the reply!
Your video was exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much for creating this. It's been a very annoying 3 hours without finding what I was looking for. This video is getting pinned in my UI bookmarks.
So happy to hear that! If your interested check out www.uxlab.academy/user/sign-up. That's where I add all my design tutorial, tips, corses...etc. I't completely free!
Thanks a lot! Simple and to the point.
🙏
Thanks
Cool and better 😎👍
No additional feature needed to achieve the effect mentioned at 6:30. You'll just need another layer of nesting. Using your example: - Add another frame around your sticky frame. You'll then have a setup that looks like this: - - "Add to basket" frame (scroll with parent) nested inside > - - Intermediate transparent frame (sticky) nested inside > - - Exterior transparent frame (scroll with parent) - When you scroll the top of the intermediate frame will stick to the top making "Add to basket" stick along with it - The exterior frame, however will continue to scroll with parent. - The intermediate (sticky) frame will only stick at the top in relation to the frame it's nested in so once the bottom edge of the exterior frame comes into play it will push the sticky frame up out of view along with it - This leaves us with "Add to basket" that sticks for a duration and then continues to scroll - The duration / timing of how long it sticks is all due to the height of the transparent frames Awkward to write out with no visual, but this is the work around I found to achieve the effect in prototyping. Happy to answer any questions if anyone is interested
Hey, thank you for the comment, I can kinda visualize your steps in Figma, but I am still not being able to achieve this, can you make like a prototype and share it so it is easier to understand. Thank you so much
you just saved my life, thank you both
I don’t understand you put 0 margins to the top header and the body text and still there is space between them. Has that something to do that you gave header the top header padding?
That space comes from the text height, if you want to get rid of that you will need to adjust your text layer. Is this what you were asking?
Thank you!
You just earned a subscriber!!!!! <3
🙌🏼 Welcome to the channel!
This isn't letting me change the font size :(
That's strange, what do you mean when you say it's not letting you change the font size?
Ah what a tip! Whenever I saw those patterns in social media posts I thought "I want to have that!" and I always failed to try haha Thanks for sharing!
Haha so happy to hear that the video helped 😅. Best of luck with your designs!
Still waiting for the new way to boost engagement.
❤❤❤
This is a good one, i have been manually adding the space by clicking one by one. hahaha i use figma to make instagram post. i am not a ui designer. i am really struggling with spacing like i want left and right to have the same empty space so i use grid but that doesnt help me to get precise number. so the trick is auto layout (set the vertical n horizontal space) and fill container. OMG that mobile setting is what i need for instagram story coz i have been copying it one by one. btw what is variant.
how to create, radial gray?
That's a good question...I will need to research that. I don't know 😅. But will make sure to share it if I found out!
easiest explanation after endless tuts. thank you!
Brilliant how you explain things so easily for beginners! Liked and subbed 🫡
Hey thank you welcome to the channel!
Would you say Mizco is legit? I’m getting out of a horrible boot camp and looking to take more courses. Thanks.
Hey! Sorry to hear that. Which bootcamp did you take, if you don’t mind me asking? I think so, yes. I don’t know him personally, but based on his content, he seems like someone who knows what he’s doing. He focuses more on teaching people how to use Figma and other design tools. I’m more passionate about helping people become UX/UI designers and making money in the process. Figma is only 20% of what you need to know to become a great designer. If you’re interested, I have a free class going live at www.uxlab.academy/#free_course. I’ll be covering the end-to-end process of creating a landing page for a banking app. Feel free to reach out if you have specific questions-I’d be happy to help with any advice!
For anyone just wanting to have their menu fixed on top, just watch the 3 first minutes xD 15 minutes tutorial for this is wild. Also, no need to shrink your "Desktop" frame in order to have the vertical scroll to work ; it will only leads to cut your protoype view in the play mode. The warning message in Figma scroll tool is only here to let you know that you content should be bigger than the target screen size (chosen when you create your Desktop frame) :) But thanks for the help!
Hey! Thank you for the feedback. I've noticed that my tutorials are quite long winded so I'm with you on this, hence why I took a break just to up my video skills a bit, this 💩 is hard 🤣. It's strange how I can be so good in real life with human interaction but in my videos I look like a toddler learning to speak 🤣
@@DennisLeoca That's totally understandable 😂 video making is a whole new job to learn!
This was soo helpful! Thank you!
So glad to hear that! 🙌
Which design system did you use? Very helpful video 🎉
Hey I use this one: www.uxlab.academy/product-presentations/design-system
Thanks for the video, everything is expressed clearly! Could you, please, tell if there is a chance to adapt the size of the text to the size of the frame? For instance, the frame becomes smaller and I want the font to change to a smaller size too. Thank you in advance for your response!
You can do that with variables, I will add the video to my list!
since it's been one year of making this video, did figma fix the auto-layout bug that dennis talks about?
Unfortunately not yet...either they don't care about it or they think that that's a feature 😅.
thanks, all these videos are so helpful and straight to the point, that's amazing !!!
Thank you, happy to hear that 🙏
Thank you very much. That made me easily understand how auto layout works. 😊
🙌
So the takeaway is use gradients in borders to make elements stand out over different views. Did we need to watch you build something from scratch for 90% of the video 16:09
Also since this is a video about visibility over various fields of view, is there a reason why you didn’t mention accessibility requirements in various scenarios? I’m pretty sure the secondary button will not even meet accessibility in the majority of compositions you chose
Not one of the best videos of mine I admit. I've learned a lot since then 😅
holy shit this is actually good
😂 Thanks
This is actually a good idea! thankss
You got really awesome teaching skills bro
Thank you 🙏
Inundating the user with info is not a way to make it more likely for them to consume and follow through, instead they would be more likely to tag the info all together as noise, and just not register it. So I think this is a very niche sort of thing, and most people would not like this sort of info overload. But it looks nice I guess
You're absolutely right, and I agree with your point about information overload potentially turning users away! At the same time, both our perspectives are based on assumptions, and until we have data to back them up, neither of us can be certain. That's why A/B testing is so important-by testing different design approaches, we can see what actually performs best with users and make informed decisions based on real results rather than guesswork.
I've been looking for a good way to do this. Thank you!
You're welcome ☺️
GREAT VIDEO! Thank you so very much for posting this, it really helped me understand Auto Layout & Constrains.
🙌
For me the screenshot clarity took from my website/webshop at the heatmaps page of clarity is white, so I cannot see anything on the heatmaps. Do you know what can cause this? I tried a lot already.
I experience the same issue. It's because you have animations that show your elements after scrolling. I have't find a workaround for this till now. Spoke with the guys at Webflow and Microsoft, but nobody managed to help me till now. Currently trying to fix the exact same issue for my new platform www.uxlab.academy/ Will keep you guys posted if I manage to find a solution 😅
