Internet , accept the fact that the valve never worked. Now someone would try it with 'high velocity pulse jet' or whatever shit you say it is supposed to work with, and it shall fail Things like these are good on a small scale and for viscous liquid , not at all suitable for practical application.
That guy gave the concepts....the engineers worked their ass off to get that thing running. Only Electrical Engineering graduates know how difficult it is to work with electricity and what things are used to be done so that it works flawless , safe and reliable. So these kids watching a movie or doccumentary become Tesla fans / followers ( Edison haters), but have no idea that the shit he designed never had the ability to drive a thing. It takes Engineers to make a Scientists' dream to become reality
Tesla valve does not works. Maybe can reduce the flow, but cannot stop pressure force. Is just unuseful and this is the reason you cannot find in water circuit. It just a baby toy
Tesla never meant these as a liquid check valve, he designed them for high velocity gases thinking on solving the problem of the high mechanical stress that a valve for a pulsed jet suffered, a valve with non moving parts was his solution for this problem. Perhaps one could be made for low velocity fluids but it would never be able to stop the flow completely.
ok im no engineer but have watched lots of videos on this and i hate to be a dick but this has to be the worst ive seen as far as demonstration goes. the wiki article on the tesla valve is really short so i recommend that for the basic idea (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla_valve) if you look at the pics on the wiki- i have seen those loops made longer/shorter/narrower etc etc and basically any one-way valve people plaster teslas name on it for good ole clickbait - the definition of the tesla valve is fairly loose(in the perspective of how people use the term online) i guess so they arent all technically wrong. but the actual pattent for the tesla valve is fairly specific in its design and once you change the variations,(whether or not it violates the pattent\definition) you change everything about how it works a tesla valve is meant to allow fluid in one direction(not allowing fluid to go backwards) without any moving parts..... this isint the best demonstration of how the valve works. infact i cant even tell if there is much difference between the two ends lol. you can vary the dimensions of a tesla valve and drastically change how it works - all while still calling it a tesla valve there is loads of great videos around the net\youtube of stuff like this and i would recommend going to "The action lab" 's youtube channel, he does a really good job of explaining things rather than just reading theory out of academia etc etc (laymans terms). this video in particular is one i often link to people (ruclips.net/video/sxvIQMnKhIg/видео.html&ab_channel=TheActionLab). if you dont trust links then just search "This Tesla Valve Straw Only Works In One Direction" and look for the action lab channel nothing against the person who uploaded this video, but i cant even tell what is happening and i cant tell if the flow has changed at all when he flips it lmao

Did Tesla invent anything that actually works?
electricity

Not really. He just liked playing with electricity it seams.
The AC motor.
Need more holes beetween enterence and end of valve< should work better....
why is everryone using liquid for an invention made for gas?

I like this in action.
If Nicola Tesla see this he will attempt suicide.
Too much pressure & volume for such a small valve.
that's what she said after i bust

Why I never got ideas like Nikola Tesla ?
Tesla is just too much of a cutie
Find a problem and get creative with what you have to fix it.
just focus
You're weird for posting this.
@max I will fite u
Just put a sock over it and it's gonna won't even better

hot garbage, must be the worst demonstation i've ever seen of any "physicalic" toy.

Sure, but this is a quick and easy way to demonstrate visually, where gas requires colored smoke or some other form of trick to make it visible.
yeah... but the good old faucet does it
@@fren111 The good old faucet has moving parts with plenty of friction. Rapidly switching from open to closed in an engine would wear it out.
Who cares

Looks pretty much the same

Just use a ball valve then you can adjust it from 0 to 100% flow
@@themanfromvolantisnope. A tesla valve reduces pressure, a ball valve does not.
So does it just reduce flow?
It's not meant for liquids. It's meant for high velocity gas pulsing applications.
Tesla valve is basically a one way valve with no moving parts
Seems like it does nothing.
Velocity mostly. But yes it does.
