Likely recorded in Seattle 1970. Likely woule havenn been on a Doors album 1972 had Jim lived !! Haunting words, cadence married to some well done music !!
I'm 13, and i have a strong love for The Doors. I've never heard this song until now, and it's giving me goosebumps. I wish this could've been properly recorded, but honestly the quality adds an eerie affect. Long live The Doors.
@@Lyla-v6k under waterfall one of my favorite unreleased songs. There’s good recordings out there too if you wanna check it out. Imma listen to this one right now tho
More like just truly live your life to have lived within every full moment you got it last, because the unknown comes on fast and sooner than slow. Notion of time, is just our past playouts through future events. ✌️🤘☣️☯️💘
@@davidliddle8586 Okay. This is on the Essential Rarities CD. It says it was live at the Seattle Center, 1970. I haven't heard the Pittsburgh performance.
@@FleetingDolphins yeah the Seattle one is better I think but the live from Pittsburgh version is really good too and a great performance overall from that show.
Jims eery, but soft voice reminded me of his voice in "Crystal Ship" in its slow, eery way..." "Before.. you slip into...unconsciousness.. I'd like another kiss". and "Waiting For The Sun"...
Someday soon... Irgendwann bald... Nun ist es soweit... You're not getting young... Trockne deine Tränen.,und fang an..!! You are getting old, - es trifft Dich keine Schuld... But you're going to die...
One of my managers at work mentioned that this is his favorite song. Based on his musical knowledge and tastes in general, I figured the song (which I'd never heard in my 49 years) would be a more obscure one. I really like slower, haunted-sounding tracks like this one.
He performed this version of "Someday Soon" in my hometown. He totally helped pave the way for my hometown hero-poets, Chris Cornell, Lane Staley, and many more!
I have been listening to Mr. Morrison's poetry all my life, but this only now has crossed my mind. With all of the beautiful Darkness and Death in his lyrics, he is like an American William Blake!

1st time hearing this song.. ✌🦎

Very dark and depressing,,,love it,,
Such an beautiful brooding song ! Strange it didn't end up on one of the albums ?
My favorite version
Melodically rather banal.
Come up with something better, jerk
Every Doors song is a journey and a masterpiece. 😍
This song should have been on a regular album

This is the most depressing song ever and I love it. Get your sh*t together boy before it's too late.

Inside infancy's lie. He was such a great lyricist/poet
❤️
Wow. Best song ever.
This could have been their best song of all time. Such a shame it never came to be.
This has got to be the worst Jim Morrison song. If anyone can name a worse one I'd hate to hear it.
Good death song for an old savage on his last leg
Poor quality but Doors still make it special & unique which is what TRUE musicians do. John looks like he's knitting from angle of that shot.
Pittsburgh Doors!!!!
Seattle

'End of the night' also.
Along with Universal Mind, this is my favourite song of the Band... Long live the Doors!

u idiot, u forgot to hit stop after the recording ended. 3 plus minutes of silence to honor the dead and braindead
masterpiece
Love the intro and Jim's voice has a softness to it, The Doors sounding good too. Just like a wave to ride on .
😎
Any day now should be, Not too much more time to go boss.
