    Watch in the wood yards recent video about getting a load of oak from a logger. ruclips.net/video/iBAwSQRtf_4/видео.htmlsi=LwzXZY-SDqLdkU1t Barkless, plus cracks all down the middle and down the side of the logs. Those are ready. Yours however don’t look ready. And you proved it too.

  • @daveed2812

    De barked wood does dry faster, however not all species will dry out at same rate. Every year I have customers that want dry wood from last year and every year I tell them that if they want to say they have wood from last year they have to buy double 1 year and stay ahead because where I am all the firewood guys run out of wood every year! and people end up having to buy kiln dry$ stuff from the hardware stores. How can we have wood from last year if we get cleaned out every year!! 😂😂

    • @offroadlife05
      @offroadlife05 Год назад

      I haven’t been able to get ahead for 3 years I would have to cut a lot of wood and have a lot of overhead into the logs to get that far ahead I sometimes will get ahead in the spring normally sold out again around July September

    Hello, I recently purchased 2017 wallenstein splitter similar to yours to venture into a small wood business. The question that I have for you is, it appears that you sell and deliver your firewood pretty much immediately after you process it?? I assume you sell it green? Here in Pennsylvania, I see most all the guys selling firewood advertise their wood as seasoned. Do you sell mainly to people that have outdoor wood boilers that don't necessarily to have seasoned wood. How well does your wood dry when stacked in cones, as opposed to stacking the wood? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    How do you like yours. I’m seriously considering this addition to my operation. How big of a saw do you run on it. Oh and what’s the difference between running the saw on the mount and free hand. Seems to me it would get awfully tiring to run it freehand.

      Just found your channel considering one of these processor s. A couple questions I have if you don't mind. Do you feel like winch has enough pulling power? I think I read the specs was like 1500 pound max. I feel like bigger stuff like an 18 inch log 20 or 30 feet long the winch would struggle pulling it. Also are you happy with the splitting power with the wallenstein after working with the eastonmade? Thankyou

    Nice video, these machines are really good once you get the hang of it which you clearly have, the length of those logs are perfect from these machine too. Roughly how much can you produce in an hour if it's running smoothly like in your video?

    • @offroadlife05
      @offroadlife05 2 года назад

      Hey the longer the log the better for these machines I think a 30 foot log would be the ideal length as long as it could pull it as there would be less rigging involved with 16 foot poles I can do over a cord an hour .

    Well for the 1st 300 cord I'm gunna have to eat it but moving forward I'm gunna have to raise my price per cord up a bit.. still gotta run the numbers but thank God I just picked up my processor from Black's Creek Inovations and hoping I can turn the wood over alot faster increasing my profit margin in turn allowing me to try and keep my prices from increasing too much... gunna start making videos of how to run a wood processor when you've never ran run before... should be fun aslong as I can afford the gas we will keep working

    I've got the wp845 here in New Zealand, I thought the chainsaw cradle was going to be a game changer but I found it quite restricting. Since running it like you do without it, it's actually made it better, if a log isn't nice and straight you can angle your cuts to match the angle of the log. I run a husqvarna 550xp with an 18 inch bar, can hang off that thing all day, light but powerful little saw. Keep the video's coming !

      Do your best to get the machine as close to the log pile as you can, and then attach the winch to the far side of the log this does 2 things gets the front of the log elevated quicker up into the shoot and you don’t have to move the winch cable as much
