Have to admit this job was a nightmare for me. Yea it’s faffy taking the wheel and liner off, getting the old bulb out was easy enough but I then spent the next 2.5 hours trying to get the clips to lock on the new bulb. Not sure if my new bulb has a bigger diameter grove than the OEM bulb but the one I took off was the same and not OEM. In the end it seemed the groove for the bulb to clip into had worn and by the time I had finished even more so. I couldn’t get the clip to lock in without the bulb in place but I was able to zip tie the clip closed. Not the most elegant but worked a treat.

I was shocked then the Agents told me it would cost R6000 to replace. Done this myself with thanks to those videos. Those clips were challenging. Thanks alot , appreciate the advise

Any astra 200iE , 180iE was 16v. before the ecotec bullshit cheap shit came in 97. any 200iE before ecotec was c20xe motors. . . some say its superboss powerplant but its not exactly , its the starting point for the superboss motor yes. I had a green iE like this. best car ever. but even though I was able to match a superboss motor in terms of power (after some expensive magic) , it still lacked that fkn awesome limited slip gearbox so I end up spinning 1 wheel and any superboss wasted my astra in a drag race...Anyway this is still my 2nd favorite car second only to the real superboss kadett wich I see now sells at half a million rand on auctions!!!!!

Hi Mark. My I recently rebuilt my engine on A3 1.4 TFSI. Power is good and idling is perfect. Just one thing bothering me. The knocking sound coming from the HPFP section. Could this be the VVT? Doesn't make knocking noise whe it's bad?
