A budget game pc that fits in your hand?! Let's have a look at this Intel Nuc from 2016 and see if it can run any recent games. I tested this little machine with Counterstrike GO, Valorant and League of Legends. Due to the small ssd I wasn't able to also download other games such as Fortnite or Apex. I have the same laptop but my fps is very low why
It is really common that these laptops start to overheat. Have you cleaned the fans and replaced the cooling paste? Otherwise a laptop cooler might really help
One thing you dont mention at all in this video is the RAM, other than when you say you had to re-seat the ram to get the server to boot. You clearly added 2 more ram chips but you dont mention what capacity or type of RAM. I am sure its DDR3 but is it ECC ram? ZFS uses a lot of ram so I am curious how much you added.
I added in total 16gb of ddr3 unregistered ecc memory. Sorry for missing it in the video.

It is on the side where you also have the HDMI port, there more towards the front is the smartcard reader
@@techwithdaan my 5560 had on the right side. Since I didn't see it there, I thought they removed it. I'm getting the 5690 model as an upgrade from work. Too bad I can't use the card reader and the full potential of the graphics card. 😂

If you have a small form factor version then yes it should not be a problem, as long as it doesn't need an additional 6 pin connector for power

If you can get it for a good price then yes!
for the yellowed side plastic, assuming its plastic, you can do retro-bright. basically you use a peroxide (easiest one to find is hair developer from a hair store like sally beauty) and you slather on the peroxide to the plastic, wrap it with clear plastic wrap, and leave it under UV light (like the sun or uv lamps, sun is faster) until its white again. There are plenty of videos with better detail then what ive said, and each has there own slight twist, but i personally know it from the youtuber The 8-Bit Guy, and he shows the different methods of doing so.

Yeah you can use all the included usb-c ports but I haven't had any issue with them no. Do all your porta have issues or just one?

Yes, I bought the 4k screen with i7 7820hq and quadro m1200, I used Geforce Driver and it increase lots of FPS.
its still decent for esports games, around 90 fps low settings. i would recommend plugging on to ethernet for laptop gaming tho. its way more impactful than most realize

hi ! Really interesting video. I own two of theses servers but they don't accept GPU. The only way to get strong GPU working is first install a GPU with 1Gb VRAM or less and after a reboot and setup in bios , install a new strong GPU with more VRAM. But i noted that your cpu is i3 and your RAM is not ECC, Mines are Xeon equiped with ECC RAM. I suspect that Xeon CPUs and/or ECC Ram is not compatible with strong GPU... Have to try that!
Could be indeed, this one came with a normal processor but also with a xeon it should work! Worth checking the bios otherwise maybe to see if you need to enable the slot maybe?

Very solid and feel really premium!
My employer bought one of these with 32GB RAM, with the K2100M and docking station, a bunch of accessories for close to $5,000 Canadian in 2015. It's handled extreme outdoor weather no problem, it's a workhorse, never had any issues. I think I will pick another one up for personal use since they are so cheap now.

I recently picked up a used EeePC 900A, mostly out of curiosity as I didn't own a netbook when they came out. I've tried a couple of older games on it and was honestly quite surprised how well it handled some of them. GTA San Andreas for example was perfectly playable on low detail.

Yeah that happens with the fake rubbery stuff but you can find cleaning material for that like just alcohol gel for your hands that helps or actually brake cleaner

Hi I have a precision 5550, and while running valorant only seems to use integrated gpu instead of dedicated, I have put valorant to prefer high performance and use nvidia gpu, but no fixes. Any ideas?
You can force an app to use the nvidia card inside the nvidia control panel, have you tried that as well?
I have one of these and it runs ps2 emulator just fine, can run gta sa at 50fps, but when I plug in hdmi to play it on tv the framrate drops crazy low. I cant figure out why! Any clues?
You can replace the GPU witn Quadro T2000 which is very enough for even modern games (close to GTX 1060 etc).
