It's hard to imagine what a big difference a deflector makes, if you've never had one before. It's best to just give it a try for yourself!

There are installation instructions on the cabriosupply website. They are 10 pages long, but they don't cover the issue you (and I) ran into on the passenger (USA) side. I had to take out the bracket and sensor that was in the way in order to drill the hole, attach the bolt, washer and nut, then cut off the excess from the plastic bolt. After that, the metal bracket fit back in with no wiggle room at all. Having a nut/washer combination and a smaller plastic bolt would help. The instructions need to show installation on both sides, or better yet provide a video. Not everyone would have been comfortable with this installation. The bracket is for the PIFA antenna that is used to connect the car to the internet. This was feature was introduced starting in the 2018 model year, Both the instructions and the supplied parts need to be updated for these later model years.

Dear Webchez you are wrong, the raised bar is a safety measure to prevent luggage forward in case of an emergency brake stop. It’s even required by law to install the rack this way unforntunately a lot of people are doing it wrong because the see others driving with the rack backwards. A storage bag can be ordered for an additional 19€ and the wind deflector does fit into the boot but only when the top is closed. This is all descriped in the product description. It would be great if people read first before making assumptions.

Hello Lauren, the product description says upto 60 km/h but the installation manual upto 40 km/h. I think they made a mistake in the description and the correct speed is 40 km/h.
