I wished I could had been his friend and kept him from going to that Fireside Lounge that night. It just goes to show any of us could be gone tomorrow. Treat everyone with love and respect. That's what Matthew wanted, and I am doing my part. This is a beautiful song and I am so glad to have learned it has earned the Matthew Shepard Foundation 45,000.00, but just like Randi, she is hoping one day she will not have to sing this song any longer. Matthew Shepard RIP bud. You are loved and missed by many.

i often get annoyed at people asking why she sings songs that were released under t.A.T.u. It was not just a duo, there were six people in the group for the last 6 years of the group. Five of them are still up there Sven, Dolan, Steve, Troy, and Lena should not have to stop singing the songs just because Julia left. Sure, they changed the band name because Ta lyubit Tu wouldn't make sense any more without Julia, but the band name hadn't made sense for years.

@Uratnik that is if you only viewed them as a duo. Another way to see it is that t.A.T.u. was a group of 6 people, and 5 of them are on that stage. Dolan, Steve, Sven, and whoever the guitarist is are still with Lena, only Julia left.

I'm not against both the singers going their own way. It was obviously a mutual decision... But if you're going to go on a solo career after 12 years of being in a group career, you shouldn't be singing the songs from when you were part of a group. Just my opinion though. She did a good job.

@HiddenPassion1 I would have to agree! I have never heard more inspiring and powerful words in a song than those. I was inspired to be a better person because of Matthew Shepard's story. I owe who I have become to him.
