Not only was this boring and did not need to exist, but I did not need a Hallmark Christmas movie in the middle of my high fantasy. It really slowed the momentum down. I probably wouldn’t have even bothered, if not for the fact that I read Silver Flames first, then went back and read 1, 2 and 3. I knew I was still missing the context of Cassian and Nesta on Christmas night, so I read it purely for that one chapter. Never reading it again 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

I was starting to move on over my dislike for Feyruuhh and his dog... sorry Rhysand and the fact that I spend money on this book, but then I come and use my precious free will to watch this summary, and the cycle begins again... at least someone has my same opinion.

My problem with the plot so far is that the girl's main problem in the beginning is that she has a bad home life. It seems like instead of giving her a found family, like having some fairies become the parents she never had, the author decides that she just needs a boyfriend because romantasy is more popular than a good found family story.

This book sounds MESSED UP! 🤯 But what I want to know is why Lowen needed to move into Jeremy’s house? Did she not have her own house? And why did Verity keep being a carrot and not escape or get payback on Jeremy for bringing Lowen into their house? And why did Lowen stay with Jeremy when he killed…. Twice?! I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS!

Oh God, now that I know the plot, it’s even worse than I imagined it was 🫠

I think the fact that you hated this so much but still gave it 3 stars must explain a large part of CH's general success. I'm guessing a substantial portion of her sales goes to people caught in the "train wreck" effect, where it's so awful but you just can't look away 😆

this book made me dislike colleen hoover. i felt verity was manipulative, but i think she loved jeremy and knew it wouldn't have worked out after the loss of their two children. i feel like the ending was a bit rushed and the plot was a bit predictable.

I wish I didn’t read this book. Way too many flaws for me and was just so annoyed by the ending. I was the same with I kept turning the page cuz I wanted to know what happens.
