      I used the blondor and 7/0 in a foil placement next to each other. Alternate foils blondor and 7/0 and root colour 9/1. Gives great contrast of such a light brightens of the blondor against the natural if the 7/0 Hope that helps 🤎

    Hi, I’m a natural level 8 as my golden blonde has darkened overtime and I normally get a full head of highlights just for a slight brighten. Do you think this system would work for me I was thinking of doing the lowest percentage of welloxon and applying it to my roots which haven’t had any highlights first to get rid of any banding. I’m not too sure which shade to go for tho as I want it to have a really natural finish. Thank you!

    • @hairupideas
      @hairupideas 11 дней назад

      No I would suggest still having your hilights as opting for a root colour full head will result in roots every 4 weeks. This is a high lift tint and is made to use with higher % Welloxon. Maybe go less hilights and finer and lift back to a level 8 or lighter

    Would this combination of Wella Koleston hair dye achieve a similar result for someone with natural dark brown hair with a lot of grey/white hair? Or would it just end up brassy/orange?

    • @hairupideas
      @hairupideas 12 дней назад

      No I would say you wouldn’t get enough lift, it would be too gold and not blonde enough.

    • @nik-i4d
      @nik-i4d 12 дней назад

      @@hairupideas Thanks for your quick reply. What Wella Koleston hair dye would you recomend then? I have tried Wellaton 12/0 and 12/1 with 30 volume developer before and the colour I got was yellow-orange and it didnt cover my grey hair.

    • @hairupideas
      @hairupideas 12 дней назад

      Hi lift won’t cover grey, it’s for lifting dark hair. I would suggest you lighten your dark with micro hilights to a level 9 or 10 and then cover your roots with a level 9 Koleston(9/1 as it’s ash to cool blonde) and do a glaze with colour touch or shinefinity after. There no tint that can lighten your dark hair without it being gold.

    • @hairupideas
      @hairupideas 18 дней назад

      Thanks for watching and kind comment. Without seeing you in my chair with your hair in my hands it’s hard to say what colours would be best for you, I would need to look at your colour history and take into consideration past services and condition of the hair My go to lowlights through a blonde are anything base 7 or 6 and the contrast against the highlight ( level 9-10) really works. Honey tones you could look at /7 /03 /17 The two tones your after would be achieved with lowlights and hi-light mixture so maybe not with the two colours being Koleston and there woild not be enough range Hope that makes sense

    Your video has been the best I’ve found for my hair troubles! I’ve tried it today with a great result, just came out darker than I expected. Do Wella do a ‘clear’ colour touch to dilute the formula or would you suggest going up a level on each? Thanks 😊

    • @hairupideas
      @hairupideas 22 дня назад

      Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to watch and comment on the video. You could always just use 9/01 which gives a fabulous creamy look or yes there so /00 clear that you could add. Also maybe stick with same formula and reduce the amount of 8/81 💜💜💜

    • @helenjarvis4680
      @helenjarvis4680 22 дня назад

      @ thank you for respond g so quickly! So it could be the 8/81 that’s a bit dark. I’ll try reducing that next time. Alternatively, would 9/96 & 10/81 be similar but lighter?

    • @hairupideas
      @hairupideas 22 дня назад

      Yes 8/81 has an 8 base hence a darker look. You could always mix 10/81 and 8/81 to make 9/81 Then your formula would be 9/81 and 9/01 both being a 9 base so not as dark. Also keep I mind development time, if you don’t want such an intense deposit of time just reduce development by 5-10 mins. Hope this helps

    • @hairupideas
      @hairupideas 23 дня назад

      I would suggest micro lights with lightener to lift to a level 9 and then use your colour touch as usual. There’s no way of lightening level 6 to a cool blonde with Koleston or colour touch without it resulting in warmth.

    • @hairupideas
      @hairupideas 2 месяца назад

      You need to lighten. You could start with lightening the existing colour with some fine baby lights and break up the root area and mid lengths,if you have a regrowth. Try and lighten to a level 9 and then swap your existing colour to a lighter blonde shade. Look at the 8 range and depending how blonde you want to be go to a level 9. Hope that helps with the basics. Remember after you may need toners to combat warmth and fading. Thank you for commenting and watching this video 😊

      I didn’t want to cover grey. I was blending and toning hair. If had used 4% it would have lifted my natural colour and bumped my base which was definitely not what I wanted., ending up with roots and regrowth. This colour formula using 1.9% subtly softens my greys to creamy ash blonde and has no lift on my natural hair base. Thanks for watching
