Hey there....
I am Elisei, from Romania, and I am a digital designer/illustrator , cnc creator and amateur car restorer . It began as a hobby about creating 3d cars and then all made sense to me and I started working as a freelancer in this area, which I am still doing at the moment among other nice things as restoring cars or modify them.
Lately I have started looking for old cars in order to restore them as I did with a 1991 Jetta mk2 .

Hello! Going is kind of a strong word to describe the progress on our little project. The major step is that we repaired the back panel and welded it to the car. Then we did a little more work on the front left side, we fixed the firewall and we prepped the separation panel from the engine bay. Now, it is covered and waiting for the spring with a better weather to continue with it. Thank you for asking and for keeping in touch!

Hey brother, i know this is an older video but do you have any jetta part connections? I'm restoring a pretty much MINT 87 Jetta gli 16v we bord, stroked and cammed the motor just got it done im having problems finding rear calipers. And interior parts and window trim.
Hi Gregory! You might find some parts on heritageparts or werk34. The rear calipers might work from golf mk3. See some dedicated forums in your country, you might find what you need!

E 1z motorul? Ce modificări are?
A fost 1z. Chiulasa portata, duze injectoare 0.350, presiune deschidere injectoare marita, turbina gtb2260, galeria admisie pd150, senzor presiune admisie 4bari, prezoane ARL, axa came sdi, evacuare 70mm, traseu intercooler 60mm, placa presiune si ambreiaj vr6 kevlar, swap ecu Alh, soft tuning custom. Anul trecut insa mi s-a spart motorul. Avea cam 200hp. L-am inlocuit cu un Afn cu pistoane si biele de Avb.

nu te supara , fiecare are damblaua lui .. si eu o am pe a mea dar nu ar fi fost mai simplu si mai economic sa cauti o caroserie intr-o stare mai promitatoare ? adica trebuie investit o gramada de bani si timp si munca ..
Nu ma supăr! Am cautat destul. Nu am gasit nici un Polo Mk1 in țară, inmatriculat, in stare mai buna. La inceput nu parea asa rau, dar cu cat tai mai mult cu atat gasesti mai multa rugina. Si in al doilea rand, nu sunt o persoana care da inapoi! In ce priveste reparatia tablei, de obicei investitia nu e asa mare. Mai scump este cand ajungi la detalii si la piese care nu mai exista. In al treilea rand, este ca un test pentru mine. Daca pe asta pot sa o salvez..orice se poate!

Zici ca a fost ținută la saramură masina asta. Asta da muncă!
La saramura nu, dar in sauna, da. Daca a intrat apa in ea, se evapora si bineinteles intra in toate cotloanele. Fiecare ciclu de evaporare depunea alta apa pe caroserie.
Ai auzit de ceara care se da înăuntru in habitaclul mașinii pentru protecție a coroziunii?
Da, ceara de cavitati. Am folosit si la Jetta si o sa folosesc si la Polo. Se poate da la orice masina pentru a imbunatati rezistenta contra ruginii. De obicei se cam intareste de la caldura si atunci nu mai e impermeabila.

At the speeds cars are traveling now, there is not much wonder in that! I have heard Pd engines with 6 gears on Golf Mk2 would do 270. Our max speed was somewhere near 250-260. But we were unaware of the tire speed rating. I am now afraid to go past 230 because they might fail.
How can i communicate with you i have a mk2 jetta golf and it is swapped 1.9 tdi 100 ps engine and the same dashboard but i have a few questions about it
@@izzeddinacar2759 100 ps engine means it is a PD engine? I am not sure this will work. If it is a PD engine you might need to also use the mk4 golf instrument cluster. I used a 1z engine loom from golf mk3 which is plug and play with the mk3 instrument cluster.

how much money did you spend to remodel the car?
I don't know for sure. If you want it to be like an investment keep it original. It will sell well if you want to do that in the future. If you want it to be on your taste do whatever mods you want but keep it simple and don't think you will get the money back if you need to sell.

Nimic grav pentru o masina la varsta ei, mai ales ca nu a fost o masina de top. Si eu am un proiect asemanator, un derby din aceeasi perioada si cred ca atacata de rugina, cam la fel, poate mai abitr. Am terminat cu rabdare sa scot rugina din ea si acum lucrez la fite. (gasesti ceva poze vwforum). Parerea mea, este sa continui doar daca esti indragostit de masini si daca accepti provocarea.
Am urmarit threadul pe vwforum, foarte tare! Ati pus ceva munca in el pana acum!! Felicitari! Daca nu faceam Jetta inainte de asta, cred ca il abandonam. Am lucrat ceva mai putin la Jetta si am invatat ca rugina nu este de speriat, pentru ca sunt doar table de refacut. La alte piese e mai greu: chedere, elemente de plastic- mai ales daca doresti sa pastrezi forma originala !!
@@EliseiDesign chederele nu sunt o problema si nici plasticele. Chederele le faci din chedere de golf sau polo de prin anii 90, iar plasticele le faci cu imprimanta 3d
@@bogdan1234bus Asta pentru parbriz si luneta, dar ce te faci cu cele de la usi, sau cele din spate? Daca mai au si elemente de crom si mai si lipsesc? Mai se gasesc pe ici pe colo, dar pretul lor este destul de ridicat. Deocamdata cred ca am setul de chedere asigurat, dar e pentru crom, si la geamurile spate nu am elementele de crom. O sa ajungem si acolo!
@@EliseiDesign pentru cele de la usi m am referit. Inima din plastic cromat se găsește, periile de la geamuri sunt de golf1 sau de vw transporter de pana in 1992, trebuue doar sa le scurtezi.... E.t.c.
@@bogdan1234bus La usi am vazut ca sunt chedere simple cu o singura camera, probabil merg si universale. La Golf 2 Jetta 2 au 2 camere plus conturul care vine peste mocheta peste tapiteria de pe stalpi. La geamurile din lateral spate nu se foloseste inima de plastic, sunt elementer de inox cromate speciale. Da, se pot face destule adaptari, bani si timp sa fie! :D
Aparatul este ProWeld? Folosesti doar CO2 sau CO2+argon?
Da, este un ProWeld MIG-180N. Cred ca am nimerit un produs bun, de cand l-am luat a mers foarte bine pentru nivel hobby. Folosesc doar CO2 (pentru ca il incarc local) si sunt multumit de cum se aseaza sudura. Nu am incercat cu Corgon ca nu am avut de unde.

Where you found the gutters?
I took a trip in Spain and I bought them from Desguaces La Torre- biggest second hand car parts vendor/ car parting store in Spain. I am not sure you can find new, or at least at a decent price. I bought them for almost nothing, amongst other little things. They were for four door but I removed the back door seal and now it has a small gap over there.

Salut! Dimensiunile sunte cele din video. Teava patrata 50x50x2mm, latura de jos 100cm, cel din picioare 100cm, intariturile le poti face aproximativ, la noi cred ca sunt sudate aproximativ la jumatatea distantei. Punctul de rotire sa fie mai inalt cu 10 cm fata de jumatatea diagonalei masinii masurata ca in imaginea pe care am afisat-o ca sa poti roti masina in totalitate. Noi am dat mai multe gauri pe inaltime si putem alege la ce inaltime sa fie. Poti suda o traversa de la fata la spate dar trebuie sa fie reglabila. Noi am facut in functie de masina noastra, care este destul de usoara. Poti urmari pe youtube filmulete cu altele mai performante si mai puternice. E bine facuta si reglabila, pe inaltime si pe latime unde prinzi de masina. De asemenea ar fi bine sa ii pui si roti in partea de jos. Unii folosesc si un sistem hidraulic sau cu surub pentru a ridica masina in sus la punctul de rotire. Noi am ridicat-o cu mainile, dar la o masina mai grea nu poti face lucrul acesta.

@@EliseiDesign super! Caut si eu de ceva timp un concept pentru rotisor pentru un E36. La rugina a fost cam la fel cu acest Mk1 si am reusit sa inlocuiesc elementele fara sa o rotesc, dar acum vreau sa curat tot podul pedalier pe partea de sub, asa ca e nevoie de un rotisor. Multumesc pentru inspiratie si spor la munca!

I should bring it to a scrapyard. Safe the rare parts. You can find a good polo from 1981 with far les work. Transfer That 1981 polo to a MK1.
Yes, that would be the easiest way, but we don't always pick the easiest way, do we? In my country I have not seen many mk1 polo. Actually on the road I have seen none!! This will be an extreme challenge for us! Thank you for your input!
