"Pinnacle of Suffering," Assault's first new music since the release of their 2022 debut album, spawned from a chat with a friend about the worst was to die. The conversation told of a man exposed to several times the lethal dose of nuclear radiation after a power plant mishap, who was kept alive for eighty-three days in hospice while his body slowly rotted from the inside out. Sparing the gruesome details, this struck metal inspiration for Assault-who deliver the story of this long and excruciating death in the form of a relentlessly riffing two-and-a-half minute track. Featuring blazing double bass drums, ripping guitar solos, and a headband-inducing sing-along chorus of "Die... Slow!"
