For me the biggest thing I want in a new Mario kart game is the ability to unlock characters. I want it to have Easter eggs and give me a reason to start cruising through the game. Instead of doing it for car parts and gold Mario or whatever. A couple other things the story mode type thing they had in the DS version as well the ability to customize the from of your cart. I remember being able to put my name or a logo on the front of my characters carts.

Mario Kart 8 gameplay and controls felt different from the retro Mario Karts. I liked the older controllers and gameplay better. Mario Kart 8 driving mechanics is difficult compared to the older games. Hope Mario Kart 9 bring back that arcade feel, and have better controls and driving.

There’s actually 104 tracks in MK8D, not 96. Is there a reason why you don’t have GCN Luigi’s Mansion, Sweet Sweet Kingdom, Dragon Palace, SNES Battle Course 1, 3DS Wuhu Town, Lunar Colony, Battle Stadium and Urchin Underpass?

Idk if this would sell but wouldn’t it be cool if they brought back every single track from all games (except tour, the city tracks deserve to be burned alive)

I feel like you underestimate the abilities and scale of a regular vehicle, especially when only just the wheels of a kart are below the water surface of cheep cheep beach for example, and obviously if you follow the hypothetical of racing round these tracks you'd be using far more capable vehicles anyway

Man, anyone who has played GBA Cheep Cheep Island in Mario Kart Tour wouldn't still recognise the track when playing the OG version. Tour's version turned one of the longest tracks in Super Circuit into a track that could easily have 5 laps.

I love the Shuy Guy Beach theme. I kinda wish Nintendo would still use samples of other songs for their soundtracks. I think it works really well with their whimsical sound.

Unpopular opinion: I missed unlocking characters by completing Grand Prix’s, they should add unlocking characters back, not whatever the gold Mario thing was
