AVA Sneakbox Keyboard Build and Review - A Great Custom 65% with a Knob
Просмотров 1 тыс.Год назад
The AVA sneakbox is a great 65% layout keyboard with an optional encoder that comes in an alice layout. It's definitely more on the premium side than say the keychron q8 but the build quality and customizability are tremendous. For this build I used the Rama Duck linear switches with Wuque Studios Black on White and GMK Kraken keycaps. 8:44 - just show me the sound test Ava Sneakbox: sneakbox.c...

Momoka Shark Tactile Switch Review - A bump above the rest
Просмотров 1 тыс.Год назад
Momoka sent over their newest tactile switches, The Sharks, for me to review and I am quite pleased with them. They are well lubed from the factory, have tight tolerances, good build quality, and a nice heavy tactile bump that I personally like. If you like them on the lighter end, like the Cherry MX Brown, these are probably not for you. But if you enjoy a little more tactility, check these ou...

I let an AI design my next keyboard - Aritifical Intelligence & Keyboards
Просмотров 250Год назад
What's with all the Artificial Intelligence stuff all of a sudden and how will it affect mechanical keyboards. Fortunately, there's still a lot of human artistry and understanding when it comes to making a physical product and AI doesn't have to be a competitor necessarily. I think we can still use AI as a jumping-off point of inspiration in designing and building new keyboards, keycaps, and ar...

They're currently 460 dollars
Hi there, are the switches 3 pins or 5?
So it would seem that you are saying, without saying it, that the 660s is about the same without the 4.4 cable and the 400 dollar increase?
I put a 150g spring in my capslock key because EVERY SO SO OFTEN i WOULD RANDOMLY START TYPING LIKE THIS. aNNOYING! tHE STIF...OOPS...stiffer spring stops me from accidently hitting caps lock but it is still here if I need it.
hey! I know this video is a bit old but how much water did u use? I'm hoping to try it out minus the tobacco
Is it Bluetooth
can you do a video modding this keyboard?
What is the keyboard that is used to demonstrate the keycap puller? I love the keycaps. Does anybody know where I can get them?
You're selling me on this for the knob knob knob. How is this holding up? Do you still recommend this keyboard? How is it with clack and ping? My goal is to get some softer creamier switches, but I heard it's a little bit tinny with sound.
I like the keyboard but it sounds loud 🤔
i have heard that keycaps arent the best quality and the print can dissapier after some time. i like keyboards that are clicky. i like to fell when I press the button. these switches give that felling or no?
that will be true, eventually off any keycaps that aren't doubleshot. Just a matter of time. Some last longer, some shorter. Looks like the only options currently are linear or silent linear switches.
@@VeryImportantGeeks not gonna lie. i have no idea what you said in the end. but I guess these switches are soft?
The switches are rose pink silvers?
That's right.
Does it have adjustable feet?
As fellow Mac user...where did you get the driver? Mine won't let me open the driver because it can't be verified by the developer to not contain malware??!??
When you try to open it, you'll get blocked. You have to go to mac settings > privacy and security > and somewhere down the page you'll see a message saying it tried to open something and you'll get the option to "open anyway".
I just bought the 70% keyboard with the number pad on Amazon. It was on sale for $20 and they had an $8 off coupon. I got this clicky clacky keyboard for only $12. This is the best value you can possibly get at the moment. It's nice, comfortable. Build quality is amazing so far. No issues.
What’s the coupon
The sound works only with 'Command' and 'Option' buttons in my macbook. It doesn't work in qwerty keyboard or other keys. What is the solution for that?
I like how most keyboard review sound test is them slamming the keys against the board rather than typing the normal way if pressing until it actuates. They sound horrible and its bad for your fingers. If you are going to do that just stick with a membrane keyboard because you aren't taking advantage of the keyboard.
Good video, not many reviews on this keeb
id love to see a follow up to this video with a different config of this board without foams

Shucks, now I need to a have balanced cable. Why did you tell me about that?! Serious question: what would be a good media player? I want a portable device on which I can load some audio files. An iPhone doesn't have enough capacity to power the HD6XX.
Hmmmm. Check out shop.musicteck.com/collections/portable-players. They have quite a few.
Hi, thanks for reply, if yiu get a chance get the custom cans bass mod , does improve the bass and it’s simular to 660s2 . Regards mark
I wont Pay for nice box, that i throw to trash 2 months later, so this package is absolutely ok, its green deal too guys. Wake up for our planet.
Does this work with a ps5 say I plug it into a mic ?
I’ve used this setup to game before but I had to buy a separate mic that magnetizes to the outside. I think used the Antlion Bluetooth mic.
witch switches do you had blue red or brown
The problem I have with the MX Master is no onboard memory, and my job does not allow us to run unauthorized software on our computers, so I am, oddly enough, looking at the G502 to use as my WORK mouse; if I'm right, I should be able to program it at home, then still use it at work, just won't be able to make any changes on the fly. Still, using a gaming mouse for productivity is just funny. I can't believe the MX Master doesn't have onboard memory, just seems so obvious.
maus pad name ?
what's that foam you were using and cutting for the internal part?
@@AW-ws1ll it’s called zip-n-fit
Hi great video, my 6xx came in plain cardboard box and shorter cables , I have fitted custom cans bass mod and really improves the bass at bottom end,and this headphone is comparable with the hd660s2 and I think moded 6xx slightly better . The 660s2 in the Uk now is £355-359, by the way 650 is only £229, I got an open box s2 for £269 with vip discount too. Regards mark
I have HD 6xx too unmodded. HD 660S2 is better overall, HD6xx wins in the highs though, they're more airy, but also more grainy
I have that keyboard
Not only the price is favorable but also the performance is excellent
I got first view and comment
What are the switches you got?
brown
its have a app or driver ???
Which one is better for productivity and lite gaming? Ive been using mx master2 for 4 years, quite comfortable grip but the common button issue for this version is annoying because its keep coming back, and the part inside where usually need fix is now broken cos too fragile now I lost control not of one button but 3 side buttons.
i got this keyboard today and it seems the via/qmk functions do not work.
i read online that in the manual it says to download the “gk61 pro_48.json” which doesnt work with this board, and that the correct one is the “gk61qmk&via_ds.json” Hope that fixes your problem
you deserve more subs
Very kind of you to say my friend. Thank you.
a review without showing how the keyboard sounds ??
Just a note for anyone worried, while yes, it contains nicotine, nicotine isn't well absorbed in the stomach due to the acidity. It's still probably not a good drink to make a habit of, but you dont have to be as worried about trying this as normal tobacco products
Super keyboard. I hope they also make a 3 split space bar version in the future and a 4-split space bar version, beside this 2-split space bar version. Because I think there must be more people than me that would use the strong thumbs instead of weak pinkies for space, enter, shift, backspace. And another benefit is that one moves the hands far less. Those are the first steps to ergonomics and higher productivity.
I'd be curious to hear a follow up about how your wife liked the keyboard, how easily she acclimated to it and whether it met her needs. I haven't seen many of your videos and don't know if she prefers to stay off-camera... if so, maybe just an update on a pinned comment? I'm considering this keyboard myself and would love to hear her thoughts after prolonged use. Thank you!
Thanks so much for your comment. It took her about 2 full weeks to get used to it. That's just the reality of such a drastic shift in layout. You have to retrain your brain but once she did it was much more helpful for her carpal tunnel issues. She wasn't the biggest fan of the length of cabling. It was a lot so if cables bother you, there are other options, or get a shorter cable or a wireless version of the ergodox.
@@VeryImportantGeeks thank you, I really appreciate the added perspective!!
Is it working with macOS?
I hope they make a barebones kit with usual matte black case instead of smoky/translucent one.
is that a lego copy of destiny 2 ghost?
You bet
@@VeryImportantGeeks I see you are a man of culture aswell
Really pathetic service from the skyloong, it's been 14 days where I've ordered new screens because of this defective one, I did it with the express shipping order and its not even posted. It doesn't even make sense with the SLA that Skyloong had committed on their website (3-5 days). Really disappointed and pissed off with the service and response from the team.
How do you change the rgb settings?
😻😻perfect

Are red switches good? Nice video btw
If you like linear they are just fine. Some are smoother than others, better build quality etc but reds are perfectly fine.
@@VeryImportantGeeks Okay thanks bro This is worth an subscribe I think I will order Brown switches
It's a really nice keyboard, I was not expecting much, but it's really solid and no rattling. Stabs don't need any tuning. It also is a GH60 compatible PCB, which means you can put it in an aftermarket aluminum, wood, or acrylic case. I think it's probably the cheapest QMK with hotswap on the market.
I certainly agree. It's a great value buy.
Could you please review one of the low profile ones (w/ Function keys) they have?
if they have any in stock available for reviews I certainly will.
