Wonderful. It was the backing music at the Old Vic production of The Tempest in 1974, with Gielgud. The scenery and this, created the atmospheric magic island. It stuck with me for life.

It was this year that the ripped jeans trend started. And this was the band that started it all. It wasn't on purpose, they just got famous befire the could afford new wardrobes, and had more ripped jeans than good jeans. And they wore thise ripped up jeans, not only on tour, but on TV too. I remember it very well, as I got my ass whooped for tearing a perfectly good pair of jeans, in 1971, after seeing them play "Sylvia's Mother" on some TV show. Within a couple of weeks, all the teens and hippies were wearing them.

Remember they started patching the jeans with psychedelic type material and making bell bottom flairs with same. If you had a good gal she would sew em for ya. Reminds me of John Kay and Steppenwolf. They were dressing real kool!❤😂❤🎉

I saw & heard fountains of chocolate milk gush from her paradise, without laughing the stars began to chat and ceased to scroll and we to grab hold of their golds at dawn. The sun was dizzy and the moon, stirred, hid behind a section of clouds in the shape of a barbapapa 🦄🌺

A gem among early English pop-rock folk music. Esp. for Sandy Denny, have been listening to her songs now some 60 years. Often they are sentimental. Through her work i discovered Nick Drake too. Pretty doomed, depressed songs also, but great beauty.

Sandy Denny And The Strawbs - All Our Own Work (Full Album, 1973) - From Wikipedia, - All Our Own Work is an album by Sandy Denny and the Strawbs, recorded in 1967 but not released until 1973. The album was recorded in Copenhagen, Denmark, and contains an early recording of one of Sandy Denny's best known songs "Who Knows Where the Time Goes?". Denny later recorded this song as a member of Fairport Convention. The album was released by Pickwick Records, who in the 1970s specialised in budget releases of deleted record company catalogues.Dave Cousins, the leader of the Strawbs, saw Sandy Denny singing in a nightclub, and invited her to join his band. A demo recording the band made with Denny was passed by a British born Danish DJ, Tom Browne, to Karl Knudsen, the head of Sonet Records in Denmark, who offered them a record deal, and brought them over to Copenhagen.[ They recorded the album in a cinema in 1967, with Gustav Winckler as producer.[ Cousins wrote the bulk of the songs, though Denny contributed "Who Knows Where the Time Goes?".[] Shortly after the recording, Denny left the Strawbs to join Fairport Convention, with whom she also recorded "Who Knows Where the Time Goes?".The Strawbs recorded and released their official debut album, Strawbs (without Denny), in 1969. Release Pickwick Records, who in the 1970s specialised in budget releases of deleted record company catalogues, released the album in the UK in 1973 on their Hallmark label.] A remastered version was released in 2010 by Witchwood Records. Even when they went prog, the Strawbs always allowed Tony Hooper one folky track. I thought he always sounded a bit lost. I saw them at the Gulbenkian Theatre in Canterbury in 1971/2, by which time Hudson-Ford had pretty much taken over the band.
