Hello, We are Bruce and Michelle. Michelle is an ESL Teacher, and I am retired from retail management. Currently we travel with "Betty", our 16ft Airstream Bambi, when ever Michelle is in a school break. I am waiting for Michelle to join me in retired life, and then who knows where the road will take us. Until then, we continue to chase Sunsets, and experience new locals together. We are fairly new to documenting our adventures and sharing them with family, friends, and everyone who takes an interest. I'm still learning about filming and editing, but I am enjoying this new hobby. We hope you will enjoy the content we share, and if you have location suggestions, or want to provide feedback, we would enjoy seeing your comments.

The sea otters were so cute! Hope the donuts made up for the area smelling like fish, Michelle! 😂
The sea otters were funny to watch floating along on their backs. Yes, the donuts were delicious. Fortunately, Creek Street where all of the dead fish were, was completely on opposite sides of town. Our time there was pretty short. It ( Ketchikan ) is a town we would have like to have spent a couple of days exploring. Who knows? Maybe a future trip!
Wow, your guys trip was so rainy. We managed to have some really nice days in Glacier Bay and Ketchikan. If you can believe it we had even less time in Victoria because the head winds heading down from Ketchikan held us up. Ketchikan was or favorite port, it was so cute. Glad you guys got some nice weather at Mn.t Rainier.
Ketchikan was also our favorite town. I am all about the trains though. So I was happy Michelle and I took that opportunity as well. We just wish the time in the ports were a bit longer.
We were just on that cruise on October 7th. In Juneau the wind was so bad they cancelled all the excursions. :( In Skagway we opted for a bus tour into Canada instead of the train because we were able to get out a and see a lot more. But we still had a great time!
Yes, the weather was ehhh! , it was our first NCL cruise, as well , our first Alaska trip. I’ve been referring to our trip as an Alaska sampler.
two questions. When was this? I'm leaving in two day for same cruise. How far is the ship from town in Ketchikan?
Hi, This was 9/30-10/7. The ship docks at Ward Cove. You leave the ship and walk to visitor center/ tourist / shopping venue, then once through this building you board a bus and travel the seven miles to Ketchikan. Unless, you do an excursion, then I think those leave straight from the visitor center. Not 100% on that. We just toured Ketchikan ( creek street ) due to poor weather that day, I heard many of the excursions had been cancelled. We had a great time. The ship was immaculately clean the entire cruise. Went on Ovation OTS this past June 9-16th…visited Juneau, Skagway, Sitka and Victoria…we had pretty much similar cloudy/drizzly for a lot of the week, too
