Why would you need this at all for a cobot ? Thanks.
I'm not the poster of this video, but I work in Automation. OSHA lists "Collaborative" speeds for robots not to exceed 250mm/s. This setup allows the robot to run faster than that when there are no humans present within a reasonable range to come in contact with the robot. Without this, you're stuck running the robot at 250mm/s.

What if the item been picked is of high friction , can the arm still carry the load without any slippage. One movement caught my eye while watching the video was when the robot manipulator is picking up the item and lifting it up and then placing it behind on a stack. Another opportunity for you to improvise on that part I just felt.
