    Ludwig, beautiful flies. That tail with green/blue flash...I bought some rs2's a year ago with that color/material on the back of the fly, just below the wing case. Have you ever tied an RS2, or can you tie one with that flash on its back?

      I think what I may be describing is something like a "flashback" or "sparkle wing" rs2

    Excellent tie, great looking pattern….. but use a neutral background so we can see the fly better…… and thanks for no music or tool slamming sounds…… the best fly tying videos all have similar attributes……

      The one I’m using in this video is the Raidzap X-Act bobbin. Amazing bobbin. Comes with two tube lengths and two head sizes.

    Thanks for the idea! I like organza but for some reason, never thought to use it for legs. PS: Is it my computer or do you need to move the mic a little closer? Nope, it's my computer. 😒

    Okay so i dont fish so i dont see the usfulness of making your own lure and bait thing i understand bait but all of this wrapping and feathers....whats that about? Cuz if the water is murky then will it even be seen?

    • @andrekz9138
      @andrekz9138 9 месяцев назад

      I don't flyfish, but I believe the idea is to flick the flyfish lure off the surface of the water to simulate a fly landing on the surface, which is how these fish hunt. I imagine if the lure sinks in the water, you're doing it wrong. I'm curious as to whether you get your lure back after a fight, or if it's destroyed though.

    Nicely done! Been tying this fly for a few years now and use it on a local lake during the sedge hatch. Durable, low profile, and makes a nice wake when stripped aggressively without submerging! Also have used it on the streams with a little weight to get it submerged. Done out of desperation, and it produced fish when streamers and wets weren't. I have also put a dab of UV on the back to protect the back, but may go your route and cure it after folding the back over. Excellent vid
