If you stretch your temporal ability a bit, you can experience Rosetta Stoned. It's very heavy on lyrics but is 11 minutes. Their longest, arguably is either 7empest or the Disposition-Reflection Triad

At the beginning, you're hearing the bass go deep, and the lead doing a weird noodly string ride (I dunno the term for the latter)

Tool is different. Most bands start wrapping up after 3 mins, Tool is usually just finishing their build-up, or overture. When talking about long songs their singer, Maynard said that other songs felt like they orgasmed too early.😆 Generally, people are used to the singer being forward in the mix. Tool mixes vocals as an equal instrument. A part of the band. Only forward when the song demands it-the music isn’t a separate element. Even when they play live Maynard is staged in the back on a platform near their drummer (GOAT). Bass and guitar are staged in the front. There are other reasons acoustically, but it tells you where their heads are at. Their unconventional sound isn't for all. Irregular riffs, polyrhythms, and time sigs slap you in your head. It takes time to digest if you're not ready or don't care for it. But for me they always reward my time with a unique journey with every song. The music compliments the lyrics too. (Actually, the other way around because it's music before lyrics.) Ænema might be a good one to catch more word. It's a diss track to Los Angeles. Buckle up!

Review 'The Pot' by literally the best band ever TOOL 🤘🏻 every song is methodically written and deeply introspective with deep lyrics and even deeper musical roller-coasters of excellence, they're last album took 10 years to produce.. TOOL are amazing and can literally put you in a meditative states, alot of they're music is very spiritual and rooted with an almost primal backround, I myself have used this band as a TOOL for my life and to introspect, to relax to shift my perception rather than make me sad or incept negative feelings with vibration or lyrics. TOOL can be used as exactly that a TOOL for your life and the more you listen to the band the more you will understand, it takes an intellectual thinking type of person to adapt to them perhaps at first but I fucking love tool and you should too! Haha anyway bud 'The Pot' is a great way to start off with them, they are classed as metal so enjoy they're beautifully written progressive masterpieces Lead vocals by James Maynard are always on point and the drummer Danny Carey is literally one of the best and most technical drummers in the WORLD 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻❤❤❤❤❤
