RANGERS OLD SCHOOL HR TRIBUTE
This is a Paint Graphic of what the Rangers original scoreboard would have shown at Arlington Stadium from 1972-1983. The Neon Red were lights on the Texas Shaped portion of the board and the HOME RUN would have been on the Rangers Magic Message Board. They played simultaneously next to each other.

This is an instructional video that I produced for the greatest Co-Teach a teacher could ever have. This was produced for the 2020 Conference for the Advancement of Mathematical Teaching, (CAMT), that was forced to go Virtual because of the 2020 Pandemic.
Once a Bronco, Always a Bronco

This is a video that I put together for the outgoing Seniors at Sonora HS in 2016. I do not own the music or the poetry. The music is from "Field of Dreams" and the poem is titled "Game Called" by Grantland Rice. This is solely meant for inspiration and I do not wish to gain any profit or credit. Just something I wanted to put together for the kids.

98 KZEW's First Annual Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame 1967

This is live radio from December 1987. It is KZEW 98.1 FM Dallas/Fort Worth. They did a series of segments called the Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame in which they featured a year, told of the news that happened that year and played song also from that year. I found these in my collection of cassette tapes of countless hours of live recorded radio. I do not own any of this material but was encouraged ...
JFK Motorcade w Music

I do not own any of the music or film. I was just watching the video and listening to music in another window and found that the two were in sync. The only edits that were made were turning down the audio on the JFK clip and putting music to it from another channel. I only produced to show the coincidence and for historical purposes. I also give credit to the two sources at the end for where I ...

The song is originally by Joe Satriani and is titled 'The Summer Song" but I first heard it when the Fort Worth Fire hockey team took to the ice back in 1992-93. This version is a cover by Cesar Huesca. Either way, the music fits the highlights.

When I was a kid I’d visit my old man in Dallas and he’d take us to Arlington Stadium where he had season tickets and I got my first experience with American League baseball. I thought about this song out of nowhere a week or so ago and figured it would probably be on RUclips somewhere with the team’s resurgence this year. Thanks for not disappointing, and best of luck to the Rangers in the 2023 World Series!
Ive always had a soft spot for the rangers, and they are my 2nd favorite team in major league baseball
im a tigers fan but a bluegrass person and i have to admit it was good
Dad had a bluegrass band called county fair along the rambling of his music career. They were good. I can't remember everyone in the group. Bill Lincoln was the banjo player. The man was vicious on that thing. I swear you could see the strings glowing he'd pick so fast. He was a big man with a Kentucky moonshiners beard. I miss those guys and that time period. I miss dad too.
I have been looking for this song forever - thanks for posting!
I was surprised the song went over as well as it did. Dad and Mark wrote and orchestrated the song in no time at all. The fans would go nuts when it was played. I cant remember who played the fiddle maybe james penebaker. Im pretty sure it was Bill Lincoln on the banjo. Uncle Bill. A great big hairy guy. In my memory id say he looked like Hagarinth or whatever the guy from harry potter was called. Dad on bass and Mark on guitar. I think Alan Hagar on the drums. I was 6 i think. I remember getting a bunch of rangers swag. The little bat came in handy when i beat the hell out of two guys 5 years older than me for beating up my older sister. Id love a rematch Howard and that worthless buddy of yours. Sure were in our 50s now but ill bet i can still put a hurt on you. At 280 lbs id be willing to bet i can knock you out of the park. Back to the music. I miss those guys. Dads dead. Used to see Mark often. Havnt seen Alan in 20 years or more and havnt seen bill since County Fair went their seperate ways. I could be way off on the banjo and fiddle but i dont remember anyone other than them playing with Dad around that time. I miss those days and seeing the Rangers play and practice.
I am Allen Hager's daughter! Do you remember Harry Blair and Danny Reynolds?
@@hulenegooden6220 yes. I remember you. How are you and the family? You know it suck when adults go their separate ways. They don't think about the kids and their losing what feels like family members. I used to crawl inside Alan's bass drum and hide and sometimes fall asleep. The pillows were so comfy
Harry did the best big butt buster on our diving board. He was so cool he'd do it every time I asked him to. Even fully dressed ready to go somewhere.
@davidreynolds4684 I am doing great. My dad (allen) & mom (linda) still live in Arlington. I have lived in Guthrie, OK for the last 30 something years. Still always hoping the Rangers would do well and finally! Now if the Cowboys would step up!
@@hulenegooden6220 I saw Alan at an Amway convention Mark, Gary Grammer(harp player) and I were doing the sound and lighting for. It was one of Dexter Yagers big conventions. That had to be 20 years ago. He looked the very same. Hadn't aged a bit. I really miss your parents. They were both sweet people. If you do messenger look me up under my name here. I wasn't smart enough to use an AKA. Lord knows I've got enough of those already. Hope to hear from you. Take care
We have Nolan Ryan to thank for bringing this song back at least for a while after they opened the new stadium. Not the new new stadium. I miss the original one. We spent a lit of time there. Watching my favorite catcher jim sunberg. He gave me alot of tips and things to watch for. Helped make me a damn good catcher. Went from minor league to allstars then Pony league the next season.
the fuck u talking about
Was stationed with 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood. In 1983, our infantry battalion was deactivated, and the band played this as part of the deactivation ceremony. Had tears in my eyes then, got tears in my eyes now. I'm from NY, but I sure miss Texas. God bless Texas, and its wonderful, friendly people.
Been great to have had some narration
I found this song thanks to Dustin the Organist and The Ticket.
Amen.......................Bucky........Texan all the way..
Hard to watch when my eyes well up.😭

It's funny I stumbled upon this song. I havent heard it in 30 years. My dad wrote and recorded this song when I was a kid.
David - just interviewed your dad!
@@paulheckmann6351 lost dad sept of last year. Its weird when i hear any of his songs on the radio or when someones playing music he played and recorded. I dont know how i just saw your reply. I hope you enjoyed speaking with him. I dont know when that took place but i hope he was as i knew him most of my life. Friendly fun outgoing and humble about his musical talents. Things changed and i hardly knew him the last decade. He was a great dad and best friend up to that time.
@@davidreynolds4684 So sorry to hear that. He was quite the character.
@@memoriesincorporated3449 going by your statement I'm guessing you knew dad? I knew or met most of his friends and or folks he played with over the years but I can't remember anyone named memoriesincorporated3449. Obviously my memory is disincorporated. Sorry it's 3am and I'm in agony so I'm joking to take my mind off the pain. If you knew dad would we have met? I do enjoy meeting people that knew him and most everybody had good things to say. Most are in the music business some in movies and some just from seeing him play. I miss him. We had alot of fun for half of my life.
Rest in peace to your father
A dream come true...this is available on ITunes as a single.
I miss Texas - a whole 'nother place. God's country without a doubt. My Mom once commented that the people were so friendly it didn't even seem like part of the United States! What the hell am I doing in Ohio???
John Hegel except for Austin.
I love this song!! I remember watching the Texas Country Reporter back in little old Plano Texas at my grandparents house. Brings a tear to my eye ... oh the memories. This song will forever live in my heart and the hearts of Texans!
The Nueces waters are crystal clear and great for swimming at Campwood.
Damn onions
I remember this being the theme music for a weekly TV newsmagazine on Dallas' KDFW Channel 4 called "4 Country Reporter" when I lived in Irving during the 1970s and early 1980s. It later became syndicated under the title "Texas Country Reporter." Brings back a lot of memories...I may be a native-born Cajun, but I'm also a naturalized Texan-graduated from Nimitz High School in Irving in 1981. Thanks for these gorgeous images and this great video!
***** And then by about 1987 or 1988, WFAA picked up the show and called it "8 Country Reporter". It has aired on KTVT/KTXA since about 2003 or 2004.
OMG!!! I remember this growing up!!
In the 80's they used to play an organ version of Satin Doll after Chuck Morgan would announce the upcoming game. That was after the old scoreboard was taken down and replaced with the ads and Diamond Vision, though.
This gave me goosebumps and brought tears to my eyes. How proud I am to be a Native Texan!
The Pops Goes Country / The Pops Goes West [original recording remastered], Arthur Fiedler/Boston Pops/Chet Atkins. The release was postponed until May, but I did receive my pre-ordered copies from Amazon last week.
