This is great. I always feel like you are talking to me. I am going to try to go for a walk to start with in the morning!!
I've started getting up at 6 and taking a walk on the days we don't have a 6 am class. It actually made me feel so much better during the day. I heard tons of birds, saw rabbits, squirrels and ducks on my walk! It was a very peaceful way to start the day and I plan on continuing this habit every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings! I may try this at the end of the day, too!

My daughter and I work and live together. We have set up separate space for us to work. But we also try and take a walk each day. A new atmosphere and fresh air does a body good!

Always motivating
I've been coloring for weeks and my fiance' and I are on our 3rd 1000 piece puzzle! We are hooked!

This weekend I decided I was going to go through my phone and either call a friend or a family member. Someone I had not spoke with in quite some time, to say hello and look in on them. I had to leave a message, but I did get a call back from my cousin Michael. We had a wonderful conversation, laughed and traded stories with each other, catching up & reinforcing our bond. Feeling the love of family or a friend that lives far or you don’t see often, is very good for the soul! 💕

I have been really excited lately about keeping cucumber and/or lemon water on hand at all times. It's a very simple, cheap thing that makes drinking water more fun. Plus it's really pretty if I drink it out of a clear glass with a glittery reusable straw.
Great idea, @Amber! There are unlimited possibilities with fruit and veggie infused water. Good for you, girl.
Hello All : I love coloring - It works!! We have found some time to dig out some old favorite activities. We dug out all our old Albums (we have a lot) We sat up the turntable and have found some great music we forgot we owned. Just working to find that one song on that one Vinyl album keeps your mind busy! And you can color while you listen...

During this time of confinement, I am making a point of contacting someone in my family every other day, by phone! I've enjoyed talking to each of them, laughing with them, and just catching up. It made me wonder why I didn't do this in the past, so once the Coronavirus is over, I am going to continue making these calls. I have a very large family, almost all of them in other states, so I could probably go months before I start at the beginning again! I know this change will make me feel better about myself and hopefully make my family members smile when we talk!

We are doing a couple of things: 1) we are taking immune boosting supplements every nite before bed: Vit C (SuperBio C by Solaray, Zinc, Selenium and L Lysine). We are fixing dinner together and eating together every nite. And we are all doing some sort of exercise outside for an hour or more every day. Walking, Mountain biking, skate boarding.
@Tony Rugg, I love this. Taking supplements to keep your immune system at its best is very important! And that's great that you're eating together nightly - it's great for both your relationship AND your health! I want to learn how to skate board! I'm jealous! ;-)
I'm doing at least 2 walks every day, my news comes at 5 in evening.. Really trying to focus on Good thoughts when not with the news.
@Sherry Koepke, I love that you're doing TWO walks a day. It's great to watch the news early in the evening so you have plenty of time to focus on other things before bed.
Thank you Priscilla, it was a great reminder how we can all get caught up in the social media world. I continue working out with Missfits, walking with my friends at a distance of 6 feet, organizing my office, so I can work from home and staying connected to family and friends. Oh, I love watching HGTV!

We are trying to walk everyday and only watching the news once a day, and only turning it on in the evening. I agree with Jenn, keeping with the regular schedule. Thanks for the Healthy Habit hacks, Priscilla, some days our minds are on overload! Helps keep us mindful!
Absolutely, Liz. One thing I encourage you to avoid is making the news the last thing you hear/watch before bed. Be sure to look at something positive before you go to sleep - because your mind will be processing that all night long. :-)
We are working to keep our routine as normal as possible. While remote working and home schooling could/would allow for a modification to our schedule, we are choosing to maintain wake/eat/sleep times. We have also made the decision to leave the TV off during working/school hours. If we're not doing it at work/school, then why would we do it when working/schooling from home?!?
Long walks in the neighborhood. Baking dog biscuits.
