Our weeping cherry is only 4 years old and it's 6' tall and 25' wide. We should have pruned much much sooner. Now I don't know what to do. Due to its location it needs to get taller. Any advice would be so appreciated!

CAN BAGWORMS GET INSIDE YOUR HOME AND EAT THE PAINT OFF OF YOUR WALLS? THE REASON WHY I AM ASKING YOU ALL THIS QUESTION IS BECAUSE IN THE YEAR OF 2001 WHEN I MY NERVES HAD GOTTEN THE BEST OF ME AND I HAD A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN OR ELSE A MELTDOWN, I SAW SOMETHING SIMILAR TO THIS BAGWORM, BUT IT HAS 2 TRIANGULAR HORNS AT THE TOP AND A LARGE TRIANGULAR SHAPE AT THE BOTTOM. AND UNDER THE BOTTOM OF THE 3 TRIANGLES WERE TINY LITTLE WORMS UNDER IT AND IT WAS EATING THE PAINT OFF OF MY BEDROOM WALLS AND WHEN THEY HAVE EATEN THE PAINT OFF OF MY BEDROOM WALLS, IT LEFT A TRIANGULAR SHAPE OF WHERE THEY HAVE EATEN THE PAINT OFF OF MY BEDROOM WALLS. SO THAT IS WHY I AM ASKING YOU ALL THIS QUESTION IS BECAUSE OF WHAT I HAVE SEEN IN MY BEDROOM IN THE YEAR OF 2001.

Ours has grown almost 20 feet in four years. Loves clay soil and 12 hours of sun. It is way too wide, can I trim it down? It grows so fast, I can almost see it grow right after it rains. It does no grow as fast as the Dawn Redwood, which is faster than any willow.

As long as the sunlight is direct! Unfiltered sunlight may cause rusting colors, but during those lower temps the unfiltered sun shouldnt be too bad! However, if overcast is a common occurencr, then itlle behoove you to get a cold hardy tree

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that! I have a Linden tree in my backyard (over my patio), and it never stops shedding something - all summer long! It's also the last tree to drop it's leaves, which is a pain. But the shade it provides is precious, especially with the weather getting warmer all the time. I hope you'll think long and hard on it beforehand. Make a list of the pros and cons - sometimes that helps. Take care.

Thornless Honey Locust tree. It provides light filtering shade but it’s messy! It clogs up my gutters and it’s leaves & spines create a mess in the Fall. Also the pretty yellow leaves drop over my condo parking spaces and create a mess on the windshields & tracking leaves inside vehicles, garage & condo when it rains. Roots become tripping hazards as it grows & spreads after 20 years as a mature tree.

I live in Colorado and we planted our tree last spring here. This spring the top branches never grew leaves. We did have a fairly large snow in early spring so I don't know if the buds froze then. I do have growth coming from the trunk...but nothing on the upper branches. Is there a way to save this tree? We're getting 100 degree days here...so I don't know if I need to wait until winter to do anything. Any advice?

Thanks for this! Great video. We have a Shademaster in our front yard on the west side of our house and you’re right, fabulous shade. However in the spring (May, zone 6) it sheds something that clogs up our gutters and makes a mess all over our yard/mulch/grass. What is this schmutz it’s shedding??? It drives me bonkers 🤣

Question: this is Year two of our TCB here in Idaho and I noticed that a few branches had no leaves. Last year it did great after winter but this winter seemed dry and we now have what appears to by some dead branches. Is this common, or is it due to the dry winter? The branches have green in the core.
