      Thanks for watching and for your comment! Tulips and windmills are definitely iconic highlights of the Netherlands. Are you planning to visit the Netherlands again sometime in the future? If so, I'd highly recommend visiting Panorama Mesdag in The Hague as well. As you can see in the video, it really feels like stepping back in time!

      Thank you for your comment! That’s an understandable question. I was born and raised in China, and I moved to the Netherlands as an international student when I was twenty. Since then, I’ve mostly lived in the Netherlands, apart from a two-year period when I returned to China. I’ve also obtained Dutch nationality in the meantime. I hope this helps explain why I create content about both China-such as travel vlogs-and the Netherlands, including Dutch language tutorials and travel vlogs here. My most recent video, for example, is about my favourite tourist spot in the Netherlands: an immersive panorama painting in The Hague that takes visitors back to the 19th century, which you can view here if you're interested: ruclips.net/video/ZuVWsYDVd2o/видео.htmlsi=hYUHE1wqMB_K77Bf Thank you once again for your support! Their attentiveness definitely contributed to what was a truly delightful dining experience. If you’ve seen my earlier video about my enjoyable food experience during the past summer holiday in China (ruclips.net/video/aaXpw36sZRo/видео.htmlsi=MqWe2NKbccYoZyqo, you might know that I often choose Chinese chain restaurants when visiting unfamiliar places in China. One key reason is their consistency-chain restaurants usually adhere to set standards for both food quality and service, whereas smaller establishments can sometimes be hit-or-miss. From my personal experience and what I’ve read in reviews, Chef Fei stands out as a good example of a chain that delivers on both fronts, offering reliably good food and excellent service across its locations in various Chinese cities.

    Thanks for this helpful and interesting video. At 7.04, what do the three colours mean: green, yellow, red? For your info, in the United Kingdom also, several different banks are authorised to issue banknotes, but some are only accepted in particular nations of the UK.

    • @glimlachsmily2011
      @glimlachsmily2011 Месяц назад

      Thank you so much for your kind comment! The colours are meant to help passengers locate their carriages efficiently. At this railway station, each gate has three colour tabs above it, with each tab indicating a carriage number. For example, at the gate shown at 7:04, passengers can board the 9th (green), 8th (yellow), or 1st (red) carriage of a train. The specific carriage depends on the train's configuration. From my experience, when passengers are boarding, the railway broadcast announces which colour tab applies to the incoming train. In my case, the announcement indicated that passengers should follow the carriage numbers on the yellow tabs for my train. I hope this clarifies the meaning of the three colours! Also, thank you for sharing that several banks in the UK are authorized to issue banknotes-fascinating to learn interesting facts about other countries!😄

      Thank you for your kind comment and glad to know that you enjoyed the video! Talking about the economy class, during my return trip from Guangzhou to Amsterdam I have flown in China Southern Airlines' premium economy class. I will post a report on the return flight in the premium economy class sometime later (after finishing three or four more videos on my trip in China). Hopefully you will like that report too:-) I'm not sure if you would also be interested in train travel reviews. Yesterday I posted a video on my train trip to Hong Kong during my business trip to China last month. Feel free to check out this video via the following link if you're interested: ruclips.net/video/a0F9139J0qo/видео.html

    Very detailed report. The Chinese airlines come out the cheapest between Asia and Europe in economy. I find with the European airlines come out cheap if you dont want any luggage to check in. Would it not have been cheaper to fly into HK first and travel into china from there?

    • @glimlachsmily2011

      Good point to check out the option of flying into Hong Kong and then travelling into mainland China from there! For this trip I haven't looked into this option, mainly because I was travelling to China for business and saving time was more important during this trip than saving money. When visiting China for holiday in the future, I'll certainly look into the option of travelling via Hong Kong! Thanks for your comment and suggestion!

      Thank you for your kind comment! Three days ago I finished my business trip in China and arrived back in the Netherlands. On my return trip from Guangzhou to Amsterdam I've flown in the premium economy class of China Southern Airlines. As far as I can tell, there does not appear to be any (in-depth) review of China Southern Airline's premium economy class (on this route) yet on RUclips, so I plan to make a review of this product of China Southern as well. I already have all the footages but still need to find time to do the editing. Hopefully you will like the review on the premium economy class too once it's published.

      Indeed I don't look Dutch at all:-) I was born and raised in China but came to the Netherlands as an international student many years ago and have been living in the Netherlands since then. More about my background (education and work experience etc.) can be found at the website of my firm (eng.jinglawfirm.nl/about/) and my LinkedIn profile page (www.linkedin.com/in/williamguo2/). Hopefully this explains why I mentioned in my previous response that I "arrived back in the Netherlands" three days ago:-)

    So glad I discovered your videos! I'm planning to visit Zhangjiajie next year around Oct-Nov. I noticed that the comment section is turned off in the food video. Are you able to share the name of the hotel that you stayed, and the name of the restaurants that you visited, and maybe the name of the dishes that you ordered as well? 😅 Tysm 🙏 Do you have more videos about China travel?

    • @glimlachsmily2011
      @glimlachsmily2011 Месяц назад

      Thank you for your kind comment and glad to know that you find my videos useful:-) Also good to know that you're planning to visit Zhangjiajie next year around October/November. Hopefully you'll have an unforgettable trip! The comment section is indeed turned off in the food video. That's because my daughters appeared in that video, so to be on the safe side, I marked that video (also the video "Sightseeing in Zhangjiajie") as "made for kids" when it was uploaded to RUclips. According to RUclips's policy for kids videos, the comment section is not available for video "made for kids". This is probably a measure to protect children, but personally I do find it a pity not being able to interact with the viewers via the comment section of these videos. As to the name of the hotel where we stayed, the names of the two restaurants and the dishes, I'm of course more than happy to share such information with you. In fact, when uploading the video "Enjoying authentic local food in Zhangjiajie", I've already included such information (name and address of the hotel and the two restaurants as well as the Chinese and English names of the dishes we ordered) in the description of that video. So please check out the description (please note it's not the comment section, but the description section) and you'll find all the details:-) If for whatever reason you're still not able to find the information in the description, please feel free to leave a comment here and I'll happy to reply further. I'm indeed making more videos about China travel. In fact, I just finished a business trip to mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau and arrived back in the Netherlands only yesterday evening. I'm planning to make at least three videos on this trip, so feel free to follow for more:-)
