old psi is enough for 4080 super ?
@@ΗΗΗΗΗΗ0000 PSI?
@@SandRock9984 my bad I mean psu haha rip auto correction
@ΗΗΗΗΗΗ0000 this was anew build (back in Nov) it has a Corsair RM850x PSU. I wasn't satisfied with 4070 so I replaced it with 4080 Super. Should be more than enough for the new GPU
@@SandRock9984 alirght man sounds good enjoy your new build!
You need three 8 pin connectors to power that beast!!! change the psu NOW!! !
@@danijelcerin6912 12:08 😆
the diff from the old version and the 2024 is the LCD screen is bigger. btw i really hope you clean the thermal paste from between the cpu and Board u had alot of paste left over right when you put the AMD brace @8:58 you have paste hitting the circuit resistors capacitors please clean that...
@Daddyezee which is riskier, have paste there or accidentally scraping those resistors? For now imma leave it be since it's non conductive anyway from what I read.
the asus tuf gaming gpu is an awesome series, i got the 4070 ti super. 16gig and the cooling is awesome! the size is for the cooling! and i love it , but i wish i could of got a 4090 but none in ill wait 5 years for a new one now LOL probably be at 6000 series.. have fun!
Enjoyed watching bro thanks happy for you my brother 🎉
Appreciate it, glad you enjoyed the video! 😄
when you pick up the power cable and then screwed it down i knew you were in trouble and didnt know about the 12v power cable lm aooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo and then you just plugged in one and was like yeah i need to clean this up and tuck them to the back omg this was so hard to watch just buy A New PSU 1000watt gold
All you need is some cable sleeve and 360mm AIO will make that pc look and work much better look at the size of that air cooler so ugly anyway you got the beast of gpu to run all your games very well done make sure you optimize that gpu software very well.
@nicholasgeorge6367 go watch my.next video and how it made me suffer ahahhaha
Just for the people that are clueless here and i see more posts claiming that the 4070 is close to 4080 super performance like 10% difference you people could not be more away from the truth. 25 games average FPS difference: 4080 super at 1080P 44,9% faster, 1440P 56,25% faster and at 4K 66,66% faster then the 4070!! 4080super compared to 4090 at 1080p 4090 12% faster, at 1440P 18% and at 4K 24% faster on average! So do your homework before telling BS.
sorry to tell you mate, but uh. the box is the main difference. there isnt a meaningful upgrade from the 4070 to a 4080 s. at that price point you should have gotten the 7900xtx which is on the 4090 level.
Looks great 👍
By any means i dont want to be rude but for the future i highly reccomend a clean driver installation, once you change a gpu, or when you try a driver update. DDU is a great tool for that and maybe at this point the custom installation option inside nvidia installer for performing a clean install. Also applying a psu cable that may not be completely compatible to your psu is actually one of the most dangerous things someone can do to the pc. i dont know what kind of cpu you are using but this cooler in this case may steal all the airlfow, atleast your gpu has dedicated fans wich is a smart move. Dont fall for the trap for upgrading the gpu again
@22louki in the video, I mentioned in the beginning yes I ran DDU and also the pSIE cable is the same company as the PSU and compatibility
@@SandRock9984 thanks for sharing your experience. It's ok to make mistakes everyone does, its all of matter of knowledge and experience. i hope you are happy with your gpu, i run 4070tisuper for 1440p and honestly its more than enough even with path tracing with the technologies implemented
Nice upgrade man! it's a tight fit but should be golden for a few years of happy gaming!
I have an Asus 3080 card with 3 plugs / red lights, very rarely when I turn the PC on 1 or maybe more wil be flashing, no idea why. I just unplug the pci-e cables from the card, after turning the PC Off, and then plug them back in or you can just turn the switch of on you PSU and the red light stops. I think it's a common issue with all their cards.
bro please let me buy that 4070
@@mintsowo but they're easily available, no?
you should have buy a ti one there more then given you more fps
That cooling setup seems unnecessary to be honest. The heat sinks from the CPU cooler seem way too close. What temperatures are you seeing?
@@RAY_FILET idle average between 52 to 55 c. Gaming avg about 60 to 67 c
Trying to remove GPU without removing screw and monitor cables? And wondering if you should fully turn off PC before removing GPU? And, is that CPU cooler actually touching GPU? Jesus... never seen such incompetent pc builder here on YT. And that cable management... 🤮
@APARAT79 still learning sir, new to the community.
His ram is also at 4800. Bet expo is not on in the bios either.
@ThorntonWillie for some weird reason after I replaced the GPU, some of the settings was reset on the mither board but yeah, I enabled the ram to run at 6000 mgz. Even my fan curves were reset. But all is good.
Damn the cpu cooler is pushing down on that card.
Thanks for sharing! Discovered a few new movies! Thank you
The only way you don't lose a little bit of your soul when buying an Nvidia card is if you somehow got it on deep discount... Which don't exist.
Did I just witness someone contemplating if it is a good idea to turn the power off or not to remove and replace a gpu
@sgtcaco bare with me, I'm getting there haha. In fairness, just got into pc building lst month 😅
bro your fans are pointing the wrong way your top the back and IO fans are all blowing air out your PC the fans at the bottom is bring air into your pc your CPU cooler fans at pointed the wrong way as you have 2 diff fans blowing air 2 diff ways is which is doing a push and pull you want the CPU fans to push air or pull air out the Rad to the back IO fan. your CPU fans is pulling the air from the rads into your PC. if you flip the fans then you would be Pushing the heat from the rad to the back IO fan. the way to know which way your fans push air out is to always know the X/ninja star size in the back of the fan is always where the air exhaust/direction of the air. also keep in mind that there are reverse fans that air rotate as a Exhaust to keep a clean look as your fans with the mirror fans your using now. just be mindful when buying fans to keep a eye out for the wording R or Reverse hope this helps
@@Daddyezee yes, i have since corrected it! Thanks!
Painful to see the cable mess inside the pc
@recordlabeldao7820 ill try to master that next, cable management
Keep the content coming man, I see you're a new channel...but I see potential!
Return it and just wait to get the 5080 .. even if it does cost a little bit more.. bro there not much of a difference between 4070 and the 4080.. maybe if you can save up a little bit more get the 4090.. thats what i have and I get 100+ fps on 4k / some games i play on the Samsung Odessey G9 Neo with 2k stretched screen and get 180 fps ... just depends on the game. But the point is to just wait.. its a bad time to upgrade.
Not much difference between a 4070 non super as he had and a 4080 super. 66,66% at 4K more FPS on a 4080 super compared to a 4070. Test with 25 games done and that is the average. What are you expecting from the 5080? Double the 4090? It will probably get close to a 4090 maybe a little faster or slower. MSRP is most likely going to be 1300€. So if he paid a 1000€ for this gpu and the 4090 is about 25% faster at 4k 24% faster at 4K and 12% at 1080p and 18% at 1440p then the deal is a good solid one. I have the same gpu bought it almost 1 year ago at launch. If he paid more then 1K$ then it can be a bad deal.
How were you not seeing that thing sag at the back? It takes a few days of gaming to crack the pcb at the back. Get a piece of wood as support, fuck those 10 dollars fans, and buy a support for the card. I know someone that is still waiting after sending the card for RMA, rofl.
@@Ryuuken24 so the GPU stand it came with that I have it supporting in the front is not good enough? 😨
heres a word of advice never use a diff brand PCIE cable/Cables to a PSU as this can destroy the PSU and also destroy all your components make sure to not bend the PCIE cable thats connected to your GPU as this can melt the cable and destroy the GPU. if you need help with PC part let me know as I build PCs for a living..
The funny thing is my 4080 Super also needs 3x8pin to the adapter but it pulls 50W less than my 3080 10gb that uses 2x8 pin. (I gpu mine with both)
@JamesSmith-sw3nk usually newer series has better power consumptions vs the older series.
You couldn't wait a month huh?
@sir1junior i guess we updating to the 50 series next month haahahha
Am subbing JUST BECAUSE of what you had in the background! Wow! Respect!
Thanks man, appreciate it!! 🙏
The over all size of the box only speaks to the waste of good paper.. the 4080super box does not need to be that big.. its simply a waste of paper.. Kind of wish we could have seen you run a GPU benchmark for us..

@SandRock9984 you look like my cousin in California.
@@BabyZone69 Good lookin cousin then hahah
Bro 5080 / 5090 is just around the corner that is just sad :(
I don't think so. The 50 series, while the specs are "next generation" doesn't necessarily mean your current games are going to look or play any better, unless you're coming from something like a 10 or 20 series Nvidia card! Also, a 5090 will be at least $2300 USD, and a 5080 around $1600-$1800 USD. NOT worth it. Those cards are for other uses other than gaming, they're for AI production and rendering, other types of professional functions.
Exactly, there want be any difference at all.
@@WebbTech1 I mean, regardless if you will get 50 series or not, this 4080 will be cheaper by then. Going to a 4080 from a 4070 feels more like a sidegrade at that point. Leaked benchmarks shows 5080 FASTER than a 4090 as well. That is like buying a smartphone, a week before the next gen smartphone comes out.. Would anyone do that?
@@Reason4Termination I'm not spending $2300 for a 5090 just to say I have the "latest and greatest" when personally my current 4080 at 1440p maxed settings (for gaming) is everything I need to experience. Of course the 5090 is designed to be faster than the 4090....and...like I said, THAT is important depedning on what one intends to do with it. I have no friends I need to impress with a 2k plus 5090! Also, 4080 or 4090 prices are not going to immediately plummet. I've been doing and seeing this for a long time, brotha!
You need to change the cpu cooler it is pushing your GPU down after time. It might cause you memory issues as it looks bent. It is allso stressing your PCIE slot. The support stand is useless at this point.
It looks like its pushing it, but it has like a 1/2 inch clearance hahaha. BUt yea, I will be experimenting with another cooler tho.
I need to have this music on when I play cuz I get so tilted lol
Wtf did I just watch...
Congrats! It's a small world, actually. About a month ago I bought a prebuilt with an RTX 4060, but a few days ago I decided that area needed improvement, especially since I game at 1440p. So a couple days ago I ordered an RTX 4070, and I was so anxious to get it before I go back to work on Thursday that I paid for overnight shipping lol. I installed it today, and so far it works fine, but it's funny how even if you have experience working with PCs, it never ceases to be a learning experience. I plugged it into the PCI Express slot and screwed in the bracket, then I noticed I forgot to peel the plastic off the backplate. Then when I was on the manufacturer's website registering it for warranty, it asked not only for the serial number, which was on the box, but also a three-digit code -- and where was that code? On the card, next to the serial number. Instead of opening up the case and disconnecting everything, I just shined a flashlight into the side panel, and luckily I was able to see the code and jot it down. Anyway, I sure am happy with the extra performance this has given me, and the 12 GB of VRAM versus 8 GB on the 4060 is nice.
@erichkohl9317 congrats on the upgrade! Guess what? I forgot to peel the sticker from the mother board where all the usb inputs are.. and i can't peel it off unless I take off the MoBo. Soni just left it there lmao!!
Loop the other cable.with the pigtail.
nice 👍🏾👍🏾
Done same thing but got 4070 ti super and took extra 300 upgraded motherboard from prime b650m-a ax to rog strix b650e-f for 160 and a 990 pro 2tb ssd.
Thats how Nvidia sales so many off these things.. When i missing something i just drive to nearest retail shop and buy it, its way faster and often cheaper.. My 660w Fractal PSU has 3 PCIe cables ts crazy that much more powerfull Corsair has only 2..
Ye, I was disappointed when I saw I only had 1 more cable left and had to wait...
I just built my first pc about 3 months ago and went with a Powercolor fighter 6600 and it was great but it still fell short of where I wanted it to be so I returned that and got a 7800XT (because I don't have a lot to spend on a gpu right now) and had to get a 750w psu and putting the huge xfx 7800xt in my corsair 4000D was fun 😂.
I feel like we'll never get satisfied and upgrade and upgrade.. I'm diving in this rabbit hole and Im afraid for my wallet.. lmao
@SandRock9984 😂😂 funny thing I was watching this think. I'd do anything to get my hands on a 4080 super lol! It's like a sickness once you start off right?
@@BigSparky1316 Its a sickness and an addiction! imagine starting off with a 4070 and 2 weeks later upgrade to a 4080 super? lmao
@@SandRock9984 lol! That's epic for sure and I respect the hustle for sure. Once they announce the 9070xt and the 50 series god man we might have another switch on our hands.
@@BigSparky1316
you only plugged 2 8 pin plugs in and you should have 3 x 8 pin plugs just watching you do this explains why there is a lot off 4080 and 4090 GPU's that have plugs malleted if i was you i would pay someone to fix it for you
Not sure, if you went towards the end of the vid but I eventually figured it out ( 12:08 ) and got it to work !! But yea, I like this experience and makes me learn the hobby even more!
