It was originally intended to be a Twiki robot for the Buck Rogers movie and series. There's another video on here discussing how Daewoo had created the robot and shopped it with the major label toy manufacturers to get licensed and distributed in the U.S. It got a very limited run as Twiki, but I remember the comic book and catalog ads for him. Apparently Radio Shack picked him up next!
