The end came for my ‘’02 KLR at 43k. Looking for something different, I tried a few other bikes. Then they brought back KLR, ended up finding a used ‘22 model last year. Enjoy the new bike!
I too have owned several other motorbikes but I've had more fun on a KLR than any of those others. Maybe I'd love a BMW 🤔 but I can't afford that and "BMW Camper" just doesn't have the same ring to it 😁 Ride safe and thanks for watching sir!

Congratulations on your new KLR. When you like what you got, why change. I ride a 2008 model set up much like yours. And ironically I happened to be in my local Kawasaki dealer this week having a little sniff around the showroom.
It was the fuel injection that got me.

You just made me tear up, because I watched my 2007 KLR with 55,000 miles I've had since new (17yrs) load up and leave me yesterday. Sad day indeed 😢 But like you, there are new horizons in my future with the new Vstrom 800 DE. Congrats on the new bike. Hope they both serve us well. Ride safe 🏍

I usually launch out at spruce Creek Park and i usually catch reds flounder and trout. I haven't launched out at bull bay yet. I also live in the Daytona area. Port Orange.
Strangely enough, exact same thing happened to my wife and I. Music finally stopped around 12 or so. Same exact rock music. It was not a party though. It was a Thursday night, music was being shuffled, changed. Absolutely no one talking when music was turned off briefly. We were literally the only people in the park. Next two nights were silent. This is our third time here camping. It was never like that on New Years Eve.
I guess it is a luck of the draw 🫤

I had the good fortune to have a Ohio State Police motor officer spend several weekends training me in some of the things expected of motor officers. It was a great time and I’m a better rider for it.
