Someone previously performed a head gasket repair on this 3.0l supercharged 2016 range rover lr4. We were missing one important piece of the puzzle. #automobile #mechaniclifestyle #mechaniclife #mechanic #funny #diy #mechanicsoftherustbelt #automechanic

4l60e Manifold Pressure switch common issues and service.
My wheel bearing came out that easy. Only because it got so wore out that the only thing holding it on was the brakes
I dont look forward to working on my car up north
Witchcraft! 😅
I live near the sea, it's so fucking rusty the suspension
But that’s a completely different design the easy one was a independent suspension the last clip was straight axle
Last time I changed a hub on my upper midwest truck, I needed about a gallon of spray gunk, a torch, a 20lb sledgehammer, and an air chisel.
Soft hands in the south.
Rust: hit me baby one more time 🎵
Yes but please get a bigger hammer and don’t hit it with your purse, I’m from Seattle so I’m experienced with the rust, bigger hammer and heat always does the trick
That bearing is a year old 😂
I did my rear wheel bearings at home on my subaru and getting them out sucked i also heard tech quit when they came across the subaru bolt in rear wheelbearings😂
Yea I just used a bigger slug hammer
Nice seeing more transmission shops doing this.
Idiot
y'all are getting those out without a 20+ ton press? Shit sounds like a gunshot when it breaks free.
i couldnt even do that and i live in the pnw where salt is sparsely used
No 😢
Its just a bmw engine, why the extensive teardown
Just take the knuckle out and put it in a press. It’s faster than fighting a rusted hub
It’s really funny because I’m from texas and when I did mine it literally just fell out after I took out the bolts
Just because the procedure says it's that easy...good for you flat rate southern boys lmao #rustbeltdieselmechanic
witchcraft and blasphemy!
Thats not what rust belt means... The rust belt was a stretch of the US where a majority of manufacturering was done.. now you know.
Yep, just apply some heat and anything will come loose.
Turn the music up. I can't hear it enough
just saying hit the hub in the direction of release, and the second video he is hitting against the direction of release.
I have gone to California for the last 10 years for cars. Made my life so much easier. Had a 76 Camaro even the brake lines came off with an open ended wrench. I won’t buy another Midwest car (besides my project 53 olds)
Is this only for diesel or gas? What years does this need to be done on? ( i have a 03 dodge ram van I just had a rebuilt transmission put in do I need it? Or is this just for the newer model vehicles) How many arms and legs is this going to cost me?
Yup get out big black and the 8lb sledge snd PRAY the welds don't break on it
Yes. Yes I have.
Took me a 5 hours and a full yellow bottle torch to get one wheel hub off. 2011 camry 247k miles. SW illinois
Why does a transmission need a computer? We a so fvcked.
Is a service like this available for a Dodge Eco Diesel? I got a Tune from a company that is no longer in business and from day one my transmission has not shifted properly.
Parts just thrown all over the damn floor lol
Might as well submerge the entire car in a swimming pool full of Kroil overnight and try in the morning💀
I lived in northern New York (state), when I started what should be a 30 minute job, I would add about two hours to account for that ONE BOLT THAT JUST WILL NOT BUDGE NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO
In Ireland, stainless steel will rust.
I'm im the rust belt. Took me and my father like 8 hours to get one f'ing shackle out of my old pos dodge dakota. There were multiple beer breaks and smoke breaks. Used impact hammer and torch was a fuckong nightmare
It’s called a crow bar people
Who the fuck would want to live in the rust belt
Only 1 time, ever
Usually i got the air hammer out 😂
So real
Been pulling wrench's for decades and STILL do this
Yup. In MA, taking all the bolts out of something is usually just the first 1-10% of the removal process.
Get a bigger hammer
Yeah, we call it washing your car every other time you fill up at a gas station in the winter.
Imo that tool he used just makes things harder
Every mechanic should own at least one real (that means oxy-acetylene) torch and practice on scrap to get good. Youngsters seem scared of fire (torch work is less dangerous than being a cook) so they go cheap used. Get a 00 cutting tip, heating tips small to large, and a rosebud. Used is fine since quality US torches like Victor, Smith, Oxweld, Harris etc can last a century. Victor regulators are easiest to rebuild since kits are plentiful, and new hose is cheap. With some practice ya can wash nuts off studs, torch bend steel to make tools and equipment, shrink body metal and of course free up or cut off suspension and exhaust parts.
I hate the first dude with all my heart n soul. Didn't even know that was possible.
