Changing chain case oil on my 2012 ski doo summit Rev-xp 800 etec. Make sure u add a little oil to the rubber plug to help it slide back into place. *Disclaimer:*You assume all risk if u try to replicate my methods shown.
Of course no drain on a skidoo. Im so sad Yamaha makes sleds no longer. I still have four but just got my first skidoo. Awful
Hi James, so THIS is the procedure to change the D light, fantastic. Maybe even i can do this. Maybe! My overdrive light is out. Same procedure, it’s the same bulb?
How much oil should I put in there
Awesome tip! I was looking to change my 2011 600Ace chain case oil and noticed no oil drain plug on the bottom 😡. What a stupid design by Ski Doo! I would need to take half the sled apart to remove that cover. Just loosening the bottom 3 bolts will save me hours of work! Thanks so much!!!!

how much did you tighten the bottom three screws after? to torque spec? or just to feel?
I just tightened them to what i thought was good. i believe the torque spec is 53 inch pounds but I'm not sure. i just torqued them enough to make sure the rubber gasket/seal on the cover was sealed.
