No it wasn't, but early swept-wing fighters had tricky handling that most pilots of the time weren't used to. At stall speed they tended to pitch up, worsening the stall condition; instead of pitching down like straight-wing planes do which reduces the angle of attack of the wings and increases airspeed which is how you recover from a stall. Also these planes had a higher stall speed which required faster landing speeds.
