Efteling is a beautiful park. This year has been one of a lot of maintenance and construction, as the park catches up on the backlog created by Covid. Plus it finally got the green light for a huge expansion. So the new Hotel and expansion of its parking lot are the first steps of the park's upcoming big expansion. It took them years to get that approval. Next year, when most of this is finished, is probably the best time to visit. What makes the park especially beautiful is how much green there is. Where parks like Disneyland are packed wall to wall with stores and attractions, Efteling is basically a beautiful forest with rides sprinkled about. Efteling also uses a lot of real materials. Buildings are not just concrete and steel shells disguised as brick buildings, but constructed from actual bricks. Which makes everything look a lot better than in other parks.

I live on the west coast of Vancouver Island (Canada), in the rainforest about a 5-minute stroll from the ocean. Pods of Orcas (and other whales, seals, otters, sea lions, dolphins etc...) are common sights. Seaworld has warmer (better) temperatures ...even in Antarctica! LOL! I'm glad you were able to load up on free candy! Thanks for the tour.

The Dragon (Edna) at George and the Dragon has been broken for years, believe it took about 2 years to break down, although there been multiple attempts she never got back to the original state with big neck and head movements, looking around, opening her mouth to spit fire as the coaster rolls by... It's a shame... I think the frame is to weak and rips itself apart due to the overload the movements create (like Disney's yeti did in the Matterhorn) (I think the whale in Symbolica suffers the same problem, it used to make a huge dive movement, they fixed it few weeks back by completely replacing it -lifted part of the roof for that... only for it to stop working about a week later)

i quickly want to talk about what you said about the accessibility pass/entrance. yes, you have to wait like everyone else, and i do think that's fair. its not a fast pass, its an aid. you are right about the fact that on busy days the accessibility lane can be longer than the regular lane. which i agree is annoying, but could also be because they have certain ridecars that are specifically for disabled people, so they know who needs to go back through the accessibility line or if they need help getting out. but i might be wrong. and on less busy/quiet days, sometimes in the accessibility lain you get to basically board instantly. in my experience, there is atleast a bench or 2/3 in every accessibility lane to wait on. altough when its busy, the chance somebody else is already using them is pretty high. you can also rent a wheelchair or mobility scooter by the entrance if you need it. great video btw i love seeing people visit the efteling
