So my question is. The mic on the cardio and all the audio coming from you is connected via Bluetooth to the GoPro correct ? Like I don’t have to buy extra cables to physically connect both ?
If you have a go pro 12 you can connect your cardo to the go pro with Bluetooth. Earlier GoPros don’t have a Bluetooth chip

Oh, I did go the Kawasaki dealer and get filters for my Kawis, and then to the parts store to get gallon jugs of oil... on my Harley. So that was a thing.
I run errands on my bike all the time! If I'm getting something that isn't too big, or I don't have to take my kids... bike it is! I haven't put anything too big on my bike, but I did carry $400 worth of Lego in all the boxes once... and brought home over-sized Lego sets by unboxing them and folding the box over. Did that a couple times, even made videos around it :D
thats something I always wondered do the kids or wife have any interest in motorcycling or do they understand that its dad's personal time?
@@ScottsMotoAdventures My wife knows it's my me time, and the kids have shown no interest, sadly. By their age, I'd logged many miles on the back of my dad's bike
Even on my saddle sore 1000, Tommy G was my navigator lol. I was just along for the ride😂😅
I use Tommy G..😂 He's the navigator... But I also use my Zumo XT for navigation... Thanks for following me on IG... I'm now a subscriber on here for you. I'll have to get caught up on some of your videos but I can barely keep up with my own to make right now lol. Heading to Moto America tomorrow in Ohio for a few days.
I believe I’m going to get a Carpuride or something similar, to use Apple CarPlay and have a bigger screen than my phone to use….. I also think I will start getting some paper maps for travel destinations too!!
I am thinking of going to a car play screen also. My new phone overheats too much, and I needed a new phone because I broke the camera on the old phone because of the handlebar mount.
@@ScottsMotoAdventures very similar reasons here, although I haven’t broken my camera…yet.
If I am riding an off pavement route, I use Gaia, and send it to my Xumo XT. If I’m riding a longer ride, no Ironbutt yet, I tend to use Google Maps, set it to avoid highways, or not… Basecamp is ok, but it can be a bit cumbersome. A lot of times you have to put in so many waypoints that it just becomes way too time consuming…..
When I had my Indian Scout I used the Harley trip planner. It's free, don't need to have a Harley and it worked ok. I got a Garmin ZumoXT when I had the Tiger 850 and used BaseCamp with that. Now I mostly use the Harley planner again. From the app I can send the planned trip to my bike and just go. It's not perfect but it's been pretty good. It's nice to just click, 'send to bike' and next time I power up the bike it asks if I want to download it. Audio is sounding really good now for you.
It sounds better because the GoPros wired in. I’ll use Bluetooth with the go pro when it rains as a backup

I call shenanigans on "uses" for a bike... I use mine to commute and run errands as much as possible :D I don't map out my rides... I just go. OK, maybe I use Google Maps, but that's about it... and then plug the address in on my Harley GPS and get lost anyway. LOL
Picking up Lego kits is a great use of a motorcycle

Do you lay in a track from Super Mario Kart over the hillclimb footage... 🤣 @10:41 You were directly across the street from Benchwarmers Coffee & Donuts. I thought I'd mention it given the stop to Firehouse Coffee earlier in the video. I've never been to a Hillclimb event but assumed that it would be crowded with spectators. After seeing that it is actually a pretty laid back event without a mass of people, I wouldn't mind going in the future.
Its a nice free event and busses take you to a few different spots on track. I do recommend taking bag chairs
The last time I was at Firehouse Coffee, someone in a BMW blocked me in (I parked in the same spot you were) and I had to ride over the stones to get out.
F-ing BMW owners. They're the worst.

The audio using the Cardo sounds a lot better than the last test with the Sena.
Wow, that popping is annoying. Without the popping, it sounds quite good... but ugh, that popping. Could be clipping. You might want to adjust the gain on the SENA, or switch mic modes on the GoPro like Motoramblings suggested.
Im looking into the Sena App I also put on GoPro Labs on that camera and I can adjust gain if needed.

@@RoadReality Its better on the newer stuff. One thing I did on the 12 is put my name and address on it in case the camera falls off (which it shouldn't) But thats a whole other video to stop camera loss prevention

I don’t think I could wear a visor on my helmet at anything above dirt road speeds…. Noisy, and I would think too much buffeting??
The bell mx9 has a visor that does well. I have a long distance ride planned and I might take it off for a long day
I’ve never used Bluetooth to record vlogs. I did recently get a new helmet myself. After installing my comms, and my vlogging equipment, I had a significant popping sound in my recording. I ended up changing the audio settings in my GoPro Hero 7 to stereo. It eliminated the popping completely!!
Bluetooth is what sold me on the go pro 12. It’s going to be a backup. I lost audio due to rain water got into the 3.5mm port

I like the helmet! Your voice sounds crisp and clear. I hear that weird noise, but I have no idea what it is or how to fix it.

It sounds as if there is clipping going on and I can only assume the input level on the Sena must be set too high. If I recall correctly, you can adjust that in the app. But apart from that, the sound quality is EXCELLENT for voice. It is clear and warm, which is exactly what you want for voice. The Sena is filtering out most of the bike noise, so if you get this to work properly you will need a separate recorder for bike noise. I might have to try this same trick with my Insta360 X4 and see what happens.

There are times in the video that the audio sounds good. But other times you have a popping noise coming through. Keep trying with it…hopefully you can get it straightened out
I wanted to show the clipping, it came up during the Knoebels video a few weeks ago. I wanted to see if it was the helmet or the com. Next up is the Cardo to see if that clips like Sena

Helmet audio is great! Loved that old Honda CL on the side of the road. Too bad about your phone...Quad Lock is a great solution for that. BTW... how do they distribute the audio at the drive-in theater? Is it via loudspeakers or over FM broadcast? I'm old enough to remember the window speakers that we hung off the edge of the window glass. Later in the 70s, the theaters upgraded to FM broadcast so we just tuned in our car radios. 😉👍 --QM
Not this one but another local one to me which is still open had the window speakers in the late 80s. Mahoning and the other locals by me is FM only

Yeah comments are still broken. I had to go into the actual video to comment on this. BMW MOA puts this on. Sign up for the coddiwomple is every spring and it runs until November. You do have to be a BMW MOA member but the organization is open to everyone. When it comes to challenges I also have some where I have to find bells, one where i could find beaver art, and there is a few more challenges that has to do with Oregon the site of the MOA rally. Hi just want to know,the meshport firmware it's still need lower 1.3?
Im not sure what your asking? If you have below 1.3 you can connect to the Meshport Blue through the bluetooth intercom channel. If you have upgraded to 1.3 or above you can no longer use the intercom channel. I have not tested the 1.4.2 update and this is if that firmware works with my Meshport Blue.

Should Cardo Spirit connect with SENA ST1 directly by using Bluetooth?
@@liangchen781010i think can't, first thing is ST1 didn't have universal bluetooth channel,but cardo side just upgraded the firmware,so if you want let cardo Sprint join to Sena mesh, you can try to amazon buying a Sena +mesh adpter
I ride by myself more often than not, and I love it, but, I also enjoy those rides with others when they do happen. My preference would be to ride with my wife as a pillion, and with my son. Then by myself, then with a couple of good friends, and finally with a group.
For me I ride alone most of the time, but every once and a while the WaltinPA guys can get together and my BMWMoA group has a good selection of group rides. Though it caters more for weekday rides because of the members being retired or semi retired. Thanks for for watching
