I saw this Tom in a field on my way in, so I tried to make my way to him, but got taken out by the boss hen. She didn't want anything to do with me and came in screaming! Unfortunately she ended up leaving and pulled the Tom with her.

Took almost 2 hours to call this bird into range! Started out 400 yards, he came into the field alone and started to make his way towards us. Unfortunately, he held up at 150 yards for a while, until we started to hammer on him and he got fired up and came all the way in!

This bird was setup 350 yards out behind us. It only took 30 minutes for this fella to make his way in, and came at us where we didn't expect him to show up. I was setup down the tree line expecting the bird to come in from the corn field, but nooooooo he decided to come directly behind our setup. A few minutes later he made his way into the field and .... (you'll see 🫣).

Nothing better than starting the day by smoking a few geese, and then heading to the office.

The birds were hitting this field pretty hard for a few days so we decided to make a move on them this morning. Early October season only allows for 3 birds each, so it's a quick fast hunt before the work day.

Early morning hunts along a small stretch of river with potential for a great woodie hunt. Clearly this boy has a lot of duck rust to knock off lol.
