A nice trim would be nice!
love the TACO! i went out and bought a 22 titan
Dude I’ve watched this video like six times this is the best and close trailer set up on RUclips right now hands-down without a question and I love that pressurized water thing
I appreciate it man thank you for the compliment. It’s called a waterport in case you’re interested
what size was the trailer?
I’d have to say one of the best enclosed trailers I’ve seen! Great job. I am wanting to switch my open trailer to enclosed!
Thanks man I appreciate it!
as someone who has IBS and pretty much like clockwork 20-30 min after I get lunch and throw in a tobacco pouch I gotta go. Can't blame your guys it's just the human body. Can't really go in the woods on 95% of my properties plus that's just super unprofessional
Nice setup! We’re starting a landscape division and this was super helpful, thanks for showing us around.
I totally agree with you man Stihl went down hill 15 years ago with those 4mix we use all echos and some Husky trimmers
Someone with experience and knows what I was really talking about finally broke silence 😂😂😂
What hooks do you use for holding your chainsaw and echo hedge trimmer?
I actually found both on Etsy. The little echo saw has a weird shaped handle and it’s different from almost all other chainsaws so you’ll have to get a little creative. I just lucked up and found a way to make that one work.
The best. truck, mowers, trailer is when they are paid for.
Yep. I agree.
I'm thinking of getting the BB 54" Revolt Stand-On specifically for it's performance on hills in my backyard. How has your experience been on steep slopes?
It holds hills very well no complaints
Do you have solar on your trailer. How do you have electricity.
I have a second battery that’s wired to the trailers plug into the truck.
Clean set up brotha! Came across this video a while back & went with a 7x14 enclosed as well with the 7ft height. Badass set up man, really want to get it looking somewhat like yours.
Thanks man! You made a good choice and make your setup what works best for you!
Great setup!
Thank you! Most guys actually have potential to have very nice setups with less equipment honestly…but I see more guys that don’t clean their rig up and keep everything tidy than guys that do. It starts there…
@@prodigylawns amen brotha I keep my setup shiny too.
Has to be one of the best trailer setups I've ever seen
Thank you I really appreciate it! It’s really a blessing to be able to have it and have everything I need for anything that comes up! I’ve heard a lot of people say they don’t need the extra equipment with them. If someone asks them to do extra work that requires something they don’t have with them, they tell them they’ll do it next time when they return…I’m here to tell you that people impulse spend very often and change their minds when they have a week or two to think about it. Aside from that, I get a lot of business solely because customers see my setup and know I take this seriously. They see I’m not like every other guy with the same rig outfitted with the bare necessities. And this isn’t me taking a shot at those guys either because I respect them just as much as everyone else I’m just speaking on what customers have told me pretty consistently. Thank you again I’m very blessed!
Genuine question here , how is filling the mowers up at the gas station being that they are inside a trailer ? Do you have to unload them everytime ?
I normally have my truck pumping gas being filled up while I walk in the trailer and normally empty my 5 gallon, or what’s left over in it, into my 54” mower and then go fill it back up when my trucks done as well as my 2 and a half mix can.It really All depends on where I’m at with everything also. If I know I’m low on gas or basically empty with everything then yes I’ll just back the mower off real quick….its not very often I have to load up both of my mowers either. Normally I take the 54” revolt. None of this takes as long as a lot of guys seem to think either…..oh and sometimes I can just pull the trailer side door up right by the pump and just fuel them through the side door lol
What is total weight of trailer? We have a 7x14 with 7' ceilings and total weight with mower and tool chest, etc is about 5k. 2023 Tacoma has a tow rating of 6500lbs. Tows it no problem, why the regear? Because of larger tires and tow??
So the regear solved the gear hunting issue I had that’s common on all the 3rd gen Tacomas and it also allowed me to do 60-75 mph on the highways when I may need to and again the truck just cruises easily in the process without Rpm’s being all over the place while it’s trying to decide on which gear it wants…that gear hunting issue with these trucks was ridiculous. Also, yes bigger tires as well….but mine weighs when loaded down normally and I have both my mowers on it a little over 7,000. Normally I just need my main 54” mower though and then I sit at about 6,000…….but idk man if you don’t have someone of these things upgraded on your truck it gets torn up pretty quickly from doing all this. I don’t mean this in any sort of rude way either but I feel like if you were able to drive mine and pull your same trailer for a few mins you might think right now it seems like it’s pulling your trailer no problem and easy, but when mine lets you really feel what pulling it with ease feels like you might feel differently afterwards…I’m also running Corsa exhaust, injen evolution intake, aFe throttle body spacer,14 stack Mishimoto trans cooler, all power stop brake package upgrade for towing..calipers and everything, OME 3 inch heavy duty lift package with Dakar springs also….and it keeps going. But doing that stock everyday is going to tear it up quickly man. Especially the transmission…but the number one upgrade I’ve got that does the most for helping me tow my trailer easily and safely is the Redarc Towpro Elite brake controller, that thing is amazing with what it does controlling your trailer brakes. Leave it on auto mode so it just applies the brakes with you in sync with your trucks brakes….im serious it’s amazing man.
@@prodigylawns It's a nice rig for sure! Our Tacoma is just stock, gonna do the OTT soon to help with gears. You have a a heavily modified truck so i get why the re-gear...you are heavy!
shindawa weed eater is fantastic. would love to try that husky out
I haven’t seen or used a shindaiwa before but I’m always interested in trying the other names out there because you never know when you will come across a hidden gem lol. But I just studied up online before I bought the husky weedeaters and it seemed to be evident that everyone was saying they had a lot of power and were also almost the very lightest in weight for the commercial weedeaters. Switch the head to a speedfeed which husky makes their own version of and we’re good to go.
have you redesigned your trailer yett
No I haven’t! I’ve had so much going on recently I haven’t had the time…however, this winter I definitely will and it’s already been planned. I bought a new house and now have a garage so that changes some things lol!
@@prodigylawns heck yea! congratulations on your new house and garage brother!
I hope you can make a review on the 36-inch revolt in the near future. Its damn near impossible to find a video for that specific size revolt. Otherwise your video here has been helpful! Been looking to get a 36 in to get things started and then expand. Cheers man 🤝🍻
Honestly brother if you’re just starting I wouldn’t recommend getting the 36” Revolt id tell you to get the 54” Revolt or the 48” Revolt. I just learned something valuable…that 36” stand on is still pretty heavy for that sized deck on a mower. Also, I never ended up using it because if possible you’re always going to choose the 54” deck first. And I rarely ended up coming across a gate situation that I needed it for. And it’s a great mower don’t get me wrong it just didn’t get used like it needed to be. I just sold it and ironically I’m picking up a new 36” Bad Boy Raider - walk behind with velky attachment and chute blocker tomorrow morning lol…..the raider is still commercial grade, it weighs 100s of lbs. less. It’s better for hills and difficult ground/terrain and the weight being so much less really helps with not tearing up yards….im making a review video and will have that uploaded in probably 2 weeks….
@prodigylawns you're right, man. I didn't take that into consideration. I'll definitely look into the 48 in !! I've been doing more research on it and I'm leaning more towards that one. Thank you brother! Look forward to seeing more of your videos.
I have my equipment defender racks vertical and I have the older racks that are yellow instead of green
I like equipment defender stuff also. I think turning them vertical allows you more wall space to mount other racks honestly…still haven’t fixed that lol but I will one day!
No vinal on the rear
Had a drunk driver rear end the trailer a few weeks before I filmed this, had just gotten it back the day before after having back door replaced
Nvm everything else though right? 😂
Check out the Tri-clone HEAVY DUTY trimmer heads for your next lawn care jobs
Funny you mention that, I just saw them on Ballards website yesterday and planned on buying one to try out. You like them? And are the better than the original tri-clone heads?
Excellent review. Thanks
Thank you! I hope it helped or maybe answered some questions you had!
Lmao the portable toilet. Nice setup dude 👍
Hey, thank you brother! Trust me I find it a little ridiculous myself that I have to keep that thing with me to solve a problem also. But hey, it has worked
good luck on this years season!
You too brother good luck!
Great tour. Surprised you don’t use Redmax. Very light and powerful
Just not very prevalent around Athens GA where I live and the only dealer for them is ace hardware lol. I know they’ve got some good pieces though.
Bro, nice set up!
The best!! Planning to do lawncare too.. maybe you can send a list of tools to get started 👊
Do you keep a spare mower available in case your main one breaks down
I do have a second commercial grade stand on which is the exact same as the one in this video. I have a 54” deck and a 36” deck both are 2023 Bad Boy Revolts…normally just have one on the trailer with me unless I know I’ll need the smaller one…I keep spare parts to fix either on the job if they go down…if it’s more serious than that I just leave and go grab the other while I drop the one that’s down off at the mechanic….luckily my routes and mechanic are all only 25 mins away at their furthest…but most problems I can fix right there.
How about you?
@@prodigylawnsI have yet to start a lawncare business but that's one thing I've always wondered about. Wouldn't want loose clients if the mower had to go to the shop for a while.
Well honestly that’s not something that happens normally and it’s very rare. Just keep up the maintenance on your mower and also keep spare belts, tools, tire plug kit as well as portable air compressor…things like that. Cover every base of what could happen to make your mower go down while your out working and be prepared. When something that bad finally does happen and you need another mower while your main ones in the shop you’ll have made enough money to buy a second mower at that point lol. Just keep up and take care of your equipment and don’t dog anything to death you’ll be fine
Add something to those doors for advertising
When I filmed this it was like 3 days after I got the trailer back from having the whole back door replaced from a drunk driver rear ending me….it was covered before the wreck with my company info and design and it is now as well. I don’t understand how out of the whole video and options of what to comment about multiple people have said this lol..
What company did you use for you vinyl wrapping?
Fireside graphics in Athens/Bogart GA
Nice setup ..I have the same size trailer and it's perfect for what I use it for ..
This is so awesome… no more hiding in the back of the tundra crewmax trying to take a leak😅 this is one of the best setups I’ve seen. You must have been a mechanic prior to this! (Me too). Its not overkill its very well thought out. I hope to get a nice trailer someday i use a pos 5x8 utility trailer. Yikes.
I really appreciate it man…and I’ve never been mechanic I just have figured it all out…RUclips can teach you anything! lol. But thank you for the compliment. I can tell you that I’ve learned if you focus on doing top level work that allows you to ask for more money than most do…remember is everyone you quote is saying yes than you aren’t charging enough…save your money and work hard you can have a better setup than anyone on RUclips easily and pretty quickly too.
Do you know how much it weighs? Trailer?
It’s between 6500-7000 with both mowers loaded up. I rarely need both mowers though. Got my truck regeared and a suspension/lift setup tailored for towing so it hasn’t been a problem thankfully.
I tow my trailers with a ram 3500 ram dually limited but I respect the hustle and savings!
Honestly in the future I’ll just get long bed pickups and throw rampracks on the back….only higher top notch landscapers and send them to run their route alone until big jobs come along….makes sense monetarily if you manage and run it correctly.
Hey man! Nice vid......just a question for you I have the bed refediner aswell! How much do you charger per foot?
Thanks for asking typically a dollar a foot and just make sure to do the best job you possibly can and give them what they pay for.
Best video tour of exactly the set up I want to put together. Just came across you why scrolling. New subscriber here and look forward to whatever else you put out! Thank you!
Hey thanks for the sub! It’s not out of reach to obtain. Hard work and focus on the end goal makes it happen every time. Stay motivated!
Hey boys. Just came here to tell you, Equipment is garbage. Profit is everything
This is the mindset that makes employees hate coming to work. If they can’t be equipped properly you handicap them on doing the best job possible. If you want the best landscapers they need functioning equipment that allows them to perfect their craft and take pride in their work…coming from a guy who left a bigger outfit because equipment made my job impossible to do properly. Take care of your guys and they willl take care of you. This is what separates lasting businesses and success from short term and failure.
What chute blocker you got there big dawg?
I see you said it's an advanced.but you got it hooked up to a cable?never seen that
Yeah it’s just the newest advanced chute blocker they changed it up to this….works great worth every dollar
do you have some sort of brand deal with bad boy? i see the logo on the trailer in front and sides, and the shirt, etc?
Yes I do I’m an ambassador for the company and they take good care of me. I will say though before I made that decision I made sure it was a product I could get behind and I have found that the BadBoy Lawnmowers from 10 or 15 years ago aren’t like they are today. The product they put out today is absolutely top level and on par with any other manufacturer and often better. All the companies pretty much run the same Kawasaki engines but what’s left with BadBoy is all American made in Batesville, Arkansas and I can get behind that every time.
Smart thinking about the toilet 😅
Ballard industries have gotten about 40% of all the youtube landscapers profits I would imagine haha
I’d say more lol.
You should do a video of the water tanks and how you install them
I might make a quick short on how to do it. I can tell you though the name of the company that makes them is called Waterport and they’re a little pricey but having pressurized water on board comes in handy quite often. I’ll look into making a video or a short clip about it though!
hi cool logo, can you share who created it
Hey thanks man! I originally had a company named Logura do it for me but I would actually recommend using Mike Parsons at fireside graphics because he can pretty much do it all and is awesome to work with fireside.myportfolio.com
Nice set up.... Any tips how yo build up business? Iam doing very bad in my business man
Message me on Instagram brother @prodigylawns
Love the set up man.. Ive joined your channel to follow your journey. Things look sharp. and yes that side start has been a problem. and if have to replace things there then the whole thing has to be replaced. but i think most where really yanking on it when you just barely have to pull it.
I didn’t know that but I do agree with you. Just don’t abuse it when pulling it lol it’s more of just a smooth pull not a yank. Thanks for following man I’ve got a lot of good content coming in the near future
@@prodigylawns yeah thats the thing. smooth pulls not just yank. as well you dont have to pully it all the way out half pulls will work on any equipment. Welcome man. if up to it give me a follow i have plans for some good content soon too. plus looking to do colabs with fellow lawn pros and some lives.
Nice trailer....how does it pulls
The trailer is awesome but when I load both mowers on it plus everything else you have just seen it’s not far off of weighing 7,000lbs. So I had to upgrade a lot of things on my truck…lift kit with leaf springs made for towing heavy weight as well as the brakes are completely different and made for towing as well. Biggest game changer was when I re-geared it to 4.88 Yukons. That’s just a few things there’s definitely a lot more but because of all that it pulls great and everything’s smooth
One thing I would do would be adding a phone number on the back of the trailer
Yeah I actually explained that and ended up editing it out of the video originally. I had a drunk driver rear end my trailer about a month before I filmed this and I actually had just gotten my trailer back after having the whole back door/ramp replaced like 2 days before i filmed this video…..it’s had new vinyl added since then and it also had it before the wreck happened…lol I didn’t just choose to put vinyl on 3 sides and forget the 4th 😂😂😂
That sucks
Good video nice seup👍
