Jan 2019 you can see the hot pixel twinkling on the left of screen It's not too bad. Sometimes it goes away.

I've had the exact same problem after 4 1/2 years of use Canon g7x Mark 2. Very disappointing for the amount of money we have spend for this particular Canon camera.

I've just noticed not one, not two, not even 3, but 6 dead pixels on my g7xii. Very sad and disappointed, given I bought it second hand. So no warranty!! 😔😔😔😔

Every time my Comcast internet goes out I have to reconnect the Yi dome camera. I disconnect power for 10-20 secs. I use the reset button when I want a total factory reset.

Only the Canon factory can replace the sensor. I have 4 stuck pixels which only show up in very very dark pictures.

Shows up on very dark videos. No light source. I have two dots on left side and two dots on right side of image.

I have white dot pixels bouncing around on my G7X MARK II as well. Did you ever figure out a fix? This camera is brand new (basically). I purchased it a year ago but have only used it for maybe an hour total and then has been in it's camera case for the last year before I recently decided to start using it. These white pixels are driving me insane and only seem to happen in low lighting situations. They basically look like this period . . .
FHD 59.94P seems to be ok
on my Canon g7x mark II 1 exact dead pixel is visible only on low resolution so I set it on very high the highest one and it's gone
Hot pixel goes away and comes back.
The two stuck pixels have disappeared on my canon.
What did you do, Stan? How did they disappear?

had the the same problem on my canon g9x mark 2 shows up more in low light had to return camera gutted

@@epsilonairguntest6429 no there is no fix... i have to staiy under iso 400... above 400 the pixels show up
I have the same issue. Just bought a g7x mark ii from eBay and it has 2 hot/stuck pixels on it. I msg canon and they told me to do a hard reset on. Unfortunately it did not help. Anybody know how much it would cost to fix this?
Erik,. The two dots on my camera has vanished. Sometimes I see tiny red dot floating around when I pan around while recording a movie. Don't know how much to replace sensor.
I had same problem with 3 piece of G9X Mark II and a G7X Mark II. Finally I sent back all, because these pixels are visible not just in total darkness. Now I really disappointed, because these cameras are fantastics otherwise.

Not fixed. It is only visible in total darkness.
did you return your camera? i have the same one and it only happens in the dark in video mode :(
yunarikku2723 I did not return it for repair. Did not want to waste anymore money on it.
@@stanw2211 yeah Im on my 3rd canon g7x mark ii, I figured it might just be a common problem and it still looks good in daylight and occasionally seeing it in lowlight I guess would be ok since im just making little video/vlogs for youtube nothing crazy
@@TylerPutnam2.0 It only appears in movie mode at high ISO. They come and go. See my other video Nov 11 ,2019 shows many stuck pixels across the screen.
