Eliza's drumming on "Edge of the Earth" is deceptively complex. The lefty downbeat comes out of nowhere.

Eliza matriculated at the Ringo Starr Academy of Drumming. She is not flashy, cluttering songs with gratuitous fills, but she is a human metronome who tailors her drumming to each song, rarely replicating her riffs, including subtle nuances (the double tom hit on "Desdemona," the lefty snare strike on "Edge of the Earth," the unexpected triplet on "T-Shirt") that come out of nowhere and delight.

I’ve waited all week for the next episode! I love this podcast and The Beaches. They are great. It’s great to see them talk about the tour and their process of making the album and tour.

best concert i've ever been to was the beaches, and i've been to a lot of concerts 🫶

The Beaches are a great band with a great stage presence. I saw them at Area 506 and I remember locking eyes with Jordan and freaking out. A person I was with luckily was able to get a photo of it. They are my favorite band.

Great epidsode, love megans stuff wish we could've met when I shot the beaches over the summer at a local music festival.
