Patient Plant Lover in North Carolina

I started my journey with plants when I tried to keep the gifted orchids alive and they all died. I have tried the water culture even before there was video about it. At this time, I was able to rebloom the orchids in my possession . Cacti and succulents fascinated me too , then the houseplants explosion. I learned that plants will tell you thru their leaves or foliage or structure what they want. I have read books and watched some fantastic plant you tubers , however , I realized your best instructor was your experience with plants in your own environment.
I’m not an eloquent speaker . I just want to share with you my journey with plants. Never had an experience growing green pets 🙂but just like life you learn from mistakes. The more expensive a plant that suffered in my care the more cautious I became and tried to learn how to sustain it. I don’t give up too unless , the plant is telling me I won’t grow in your environment and care, let me go!

Hi there, I have a 15 cm long cutting from this plant. How should I propagate it to get roots? I just put it in the ground for 3 weeks ago, but there is no root yet. Should I put it into a water like I did with some kind of Aloe/Agave which got roots in the water? Thanks in advance. KR
@Norbiii3iii With my experience most plants rooted in water but the issue was the water roots have to adjust to the soil to grow the soil roots.. I prefer to be patient planting them directly into well draining media . i water initially and let them do what they desired to do.

I'm in Southern California and just got into Euphorbia Horrida. I picked up a Nova at a Home Depot for the same price. I really like this variety. It's not as full as yours, but I love it nonetheless 🙂 I just picked up a Ferox today and found your video on it. I'm glad to find someone who has similar taste :)
What a beautiful Euphorbia. You have a good Lowe's if it carries such nice plants. Good luck with your new plant. I think you are wise to keep it inside since it's too cold out. Many blessings to you.

@tomokitty, no I don't water them. I had a mistake of doing that before and lost both. I'm learning what they really want to thrive.

Hi, unfortunately the same thing happened to me. Did you let the incision dry? And then try planting in substrate? Or did you take water with a bowl, put the Adenia over that and let the cut dry and waited for the Adenia to take root? Thanks for the help.
@radimholub, unfortunately it didn't make it. However , I have a smaller one growing and I learned not to water when it's dormant and not to overwater even when it's growing. Thank you!
