I blame Eteri and ISU. There is no repercussions for a full blade takeoff, or too much prerotation. Sure, judges can mark as a bad takeoff but there is literally no expansion on that. What is it specifically? Nobody knows. There should be rules to take out the full blade takeoff but there isn't. And Eteri taught her this. The Eteri Technique is not sustainable.

And they don't stop there, they bump up the components scores, automatically because they are including quads in their programs, as though that means you are in a different league than everybody else. I have watched all of those Russian skating performances and the jumps and choreography are seldom integrated musically, so how are they better? It's because of GRE Grade of Russian Execution.

Yuna Kim is also much better much much better than you as well. Her skating, no one can ever top, to this day. I’m not a figure skater but as a spectator, I saw it back then and still see it today. For me she did the best skate of her carrer and one of the medal should objectively be hers. I am not a figure skater or professional I am only a fan. But I just find it soo sad even it happened 10 years ago. As anna Scherbakova once said my work is come to the ice and skate the best I can and the judges job is to evaluate me and give me the placement. And same with the sotnikova and yuna. They both did their best to win, but the judges are the guilty ones. Maybe Sotnikova´s career did not last long after olympics cause this abuse. When everyone tried and trying to prove in every possible way, why is she a shitty skater. Please write me what do you think.

And let's not forget the "quads" russian women do being actually triples because they basically do a full body rotation before even taking off to give the illusion they actually did 4 turns when only 3 of those turns in the air. Those are all bad techniques thought in Russia. As if doping wasn't enough cheating for them they also have a plan B with their techniques.

I mean, are we surprised? It's Russia. They cheat. They dope and they cheat. The Games were in Russia that year and of course, they were going to do everything to get that OGM. Yulia, the Chosen One, skated a splatfest so they had to boost the unloved red-headed stepchild with the wonky technique, the utter lack of artistry and the crappy choreography (waving bye bye to the audience, anyone?). This is why the Russian skating program is an utter joke to anyone who cares about skating.
